Center for Research, Transparency and Accountability (CRTA) he filed a criminal complaint against the president of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić due to the unauthorized disposal of information and documentation that was taken from that organization during the entry of members of the Criminal Police Directorate (UKP).
The criminal report states that the following criminal acts occurred: Abuse of official position from Art. 359 paragraph 1, Unauthorized collection of personal data from Art. 146 paragraph 3 and Causing panic and disorder from Article 343 of the Criminal Code, CRTA announced on its portal.
On the CRTA website, it is stated that Vučić, in an address to the media that was broadcast directly on TV Informer, stated on March 9: "Do you know that the organization USAID paid 190.000 euros, through CRTA, and some other non-governmental organizations; 190.000 euros to an organization called 'Let the stench go away'?
In the criminal complaint, the CRTA stated that it believes that by presenting false information, the President of Serbia wanted to cause panic among citizens, which could lead to a more serious violation of public order or peace, as well as to thwart or significantly hinder the making and implementation of decisions made by the police and the Higher Public Prosecutor's Office in Belgrade, which is in charge of the preliminary investigation against the CRTA and other civil society organizations.
In this case, there was an abuse of public office and the use of unverified, fabricated and fabricated information that the President of Serbia combined with information from the pre-investigation procedure, which he could not have obtained in a legal way.
In this way, there is an unauthorized influence on the police and the acting public prosecutor, as well as further targeting of Crta as an organization that allegedly organizes an illegal change of government.

A criminal complaint was also filed against the chief public prosecutor of the Higher Public Prosecutor's Office in Belgrade, Nenad Stefanović, the acting public prosecutor of the Higher Public Prosecutor's Office in Belgrade - Special Anti-Corruption Department, Jelena Milutinović Ziljkić, the head of the police department of the Criminal Police Directorate - Anti-Corruption Department, Miloš Savić, as well as unknown persons, employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Police Directorate, Criminal Police Directorate, Anti-Corruption Department, as well as the Higher Public Prosecutor's Office in Belgrade - Special to the Department for the Suppression of Corruption.
The announcement also adds that the amount awarded by CRTA to the organization Civic Revolution from Zrenjanin was falsely presented.
In 2020, Crta supported the project "Let the stench go away", which was aimed at the long-standing environmental problems of Zrenjanin, including the 20-year lack of access to drinking water.
The project had a budget of 180.502 dinars or about 1.500 euros for three months and included street actions, the development of an online tool for reporting pollution, mapping local infrastructure problems, collecting signatures and submitting them to the local government of Zrenjanin, the statement added.
