Four people were taken to the police station in the northern part Kosovska Mitrovica due to a possible connection with flat tires cars with Serbian license plates, and owned by Serbs, in the ethnically mixed neighborhood "Bošnjačka Mahala", reports KoSSev.
Eyewitnesses of the event reported that a group of Albanian youths participated in the puncture of tires, and that the police then blocked one of the streets in the "Bosniak Mahala".
After the tire puncture, a group of Serbs, residents of the blocked street, gathered opposite the Albanian youths. The police were in between.
The gathering of Albanian youths was preceded by the alleged pasting of stickers of unknown content over the memorial plaque with the name of Avni Koštova and the emblem of the "KLA", Kontakt plus radio reported.
"In the meantime, the citizens have separated and that is the most important thing for us." We are investigating who damaged the cars. We are investigating the entire case," deputy commander of the North regional police station, Veton Elšani, told the media.
