Republic Election Commission (REK) decided to ask the competent notifiers to check the voter's declarations that supported the electoral list "Bogoljub Karic - The Movement of the Forces of Serbia - BK", submitted by that party for the parliamentary elections scheduled for October 25.
The 24 present members of the REC voted for this decision at the session held on Wednesday.
RIK member Tanasije Marinković said that during the regular check of documentation, commission members who participated in receiving the list noticed doubts about the legal validity of some voter's statements.
Therefore, the city and municipal administrations, as well as the public notaries who authenticated the signatures, will be asked to submit the data needed to decide on the list as soon as possible.
The notifiers will, among other things, be asked to confirm whether the voter's declarations of support for the list have been recorded in their verification books, whether there are entries in those books that correspond to the submitted statements, as well as how many such statements have been recorded.
At the same time, the RIK requested that the complete documentation submitted by Bogoljub Karić's party be reviewed again.
The verification in itself does not mean that the electoral list has been declared invalid, but that the REC wants to determine whether the submitted declarations of support have been verified and recorded in accordance with the regulations.
