The students who went to Strasbourg by bicycle arrived in Linz, where a festive welcome was prepared for them
Students who have been cycling to Strasbourg for seven days have arrived in Linz, reports N1.
At the Haut Platz, they were welcomed, among others, by students from Serbia, as well as their foreign colleagues. There are also Serbian citizens who live and work in Austria, many of whom carry the flags of Serbia and the European Union. They shout "Pump"! The rally is secured by the police.
At the entrance to the city, they were met by members of the so-called "Critical masses" from Linz, with the song "Bella ciao", and students shouted "No one is tired".
Food was prepared for the students, and stages for speeches and a red carpet were set up.
Today they traveled "only" 100 kilometers
Students participating in the "Tour to Strasbourg" said that today was an easy day because they traveled "only" 100 kilometers, unlike the previous days, when they covered up to 140 kilometers.
Dunja Dimitrijević, who studies in Linz and participates in the organization of welcoming the participants of the "Tour to Strasbourg", previously told N1 that an elderly couple, who knows what is happening in Serbia, expressed support for the student cyclists, and that some citizens of Linz did not know why the students were coming to their city.
"We told them that this is our students' fight against corruption, for a better tomorrow," said Dunja Dimitirjević.
The students have covered more than 800 kilometers since the start of the ride, and tomorrow they are going to Salzburg.
