Retired police inspector Milan Dumanović said that "the police and the prosecutor's office had to arrest everyone beaters which are on Tuesday evening they beat the people at the 'Rajko Mitić' stadium in Belgrade".
Commenting on the fact that even three days after the Serbia-England match, none of the batterers were arrested, Dumanović said that "the batterers-black shirts are under the protection of the top of the Serbian Progressive Party and the chief prosecutor Nenad Stefanović."
"It is a shame that the thugs also beat the parents who brought their minor children to the stadium. It is even more shameful that the police did not protect the fans and arrested all the thugs on the spot, instead of having friendly conversations with them. In recent months, the police excelled in brutally beating students and citizens, and now they have once again confirmed that thugs with criminal records are under their protection," Dumanović told the Beta agency.
According to his words, "the clubmen came to the stadium on the orders of the top of the SNS".
"Aleksandar Vučić cannot tolerate criticism of himself and it hurts him a lot when 40.000 people in the stadium chant slogans against him. The task of the beaters was to prevent the people from chanting 'pump, pump' and 'Fuck Vučić', but they did not succeed. The government also sent around 150 beaters to Riga, at the European basketball championship, with the aim of disciplining the fans, and some beat," said Dumanovic.
According to him, when the people protest against the government, the police and the prosecutor's office react within five minutes, "and when the thugs beat the people, there is no reaction."
"Chief prosecutor Nenad Stefanović pretends to be blind when the people are threatened, but that's why he persecutes everyone who protests against Vučić and SNS. For the prosecutor's office and the police, and the regime media, the beating of the people at the stadium didn't even happen," Dumanović said.
When asked what the consequences could be if the police and the prosecutor's office did not react to the beating of fans at the Serbia-England match, Dumanović said that such brutality can be expected again at a sporting or similar event.
"The thugs will attack the people who chant against Vučić and support the students wherever they can. This will awaken even more people to be against the current dictatorial regime," Dumanović concluded.
