During the session of the Assembly of the city of Užice, he was thrown tear gas in the hall, and the opposition councilor and lawyer Radovan Novaković declared for Nova.rs that he suspects that security is behind the incident, reports N1.
"The session is in progress, they throw out opposition councilors every day. In three days, they kicked out three councilors. They can't deal with us, they're getting extremely nervous," Novaković told Nova.rs.
As reported by Beta, the recording of the session shows the moment when the President of the City Assembly, Danijela Vasiljević, opens the door of the hall and calls the security guards to enter the room.
After that, the opposition councilors got up from their seats and began to complain, as a result of which there was a lot of noise in the hall.
The president of the city parliament then called on the councilors to return to their seats and calm the situation, but they did not do so, after which she set a one-hour break "until it is established who threw the tear gas."
