President of the Assembly of Serbia Ana Brnabic commented on the warning sent by the Security and Information Agency (BIA) to the President of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić not to go to Montenegro.
The BIA advised Vučić not to travel to Tivat for the EU-Western Balkans Summit due to "the existence of a high security risk", because, according to operational information, "Radoje Zvicer, the leader of the Kavački clan, is in Montenegro".
"I'm with President Vučić tonight, at dinner with Antoni Košta. I've been out of dinner more than at dinner since the director of the BIA, Vladimir Orlić, contacted me. Tonight I heard from Orlić three times, I also spoke with Milan Knežević. I'm seriously worried. The president won't even hear that he's not going to Montenegro, for the sake of our people in Montenegro and European partners. He keeps his word and promises. My priority is to convince President Vučić that he is not traveling to Montenegro," said Ana Brnabić on Wednesday evening for Informer, as reported by Kurir.
"There is a serious security threat to the life of the president," she added and continued:
"It is really incredible to me that the Montenegrin services decided to stop the plane from Belgrade, check all the passengers and, if I am not mistaken, of the 86 passengers on that flight, three have some kind of criminal record. Today, three flights landed in Belgrade from Montenegro. Imagine if we checked all the people. How many people would we find with a criminal record? Probably much more. It is obvious that there is some intention of the Montenegrin services to check everything coming from Serbia, so that Vučić would come with as little support as possible and security".
The failed Montenegrin mission of the guardian of the SNS: the Charter embarrasses Aleksandar Vučić
In response to the statement that people from the top of the SNS are asking President Vučić not to go to Montenegro, Ana Brnabić says:
"All my efforts are aimed at ensuring that Vučić does not go to Montenegro tomorrow, but only the day after tomorrow for the conference, that he does not spend the night there. Milan Knežević told me: 'It is better for him to go to Gaza than to come here'".
"Only seven people in security"
"It is especially incredible to me that we have people in Serbia, people like Borko Stefanović or Pavle Grbović, blockaders from the former government or blockaders from the faculty, who enjoyed this, who were happy about this, who immediately found it appropriate to attack the Republic of Serbia and the President of the Republic of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, again following the same pattern of dehumanization and criminalization."
"It is extremely unusual for the BIA to advertise like this, but it was important to them that the citizens of Serbia and our people in Montenegro see what it is about at this moment. That is why the BIA issued a statement, although this is really not a common practice."
Due to the risk to national security, a group of Serbs was banned from entering Montenegro
Ana Brnabić added that Vučić will travel to Tivat with minimal security - with only seven people.
