President of the National Assembly Ana Brnabic on Saturday, when giving signatures in support of the list "Aleksandar Vučić - Belgrade tomorrow" stated that she is inviting the opposition to come to an agreement on Monday, it says "Today".
"If they don't show up, I will call together on Monday and Tuesday to see that comparative analysis so that we can continue working together from that point," she stated.
We asked some of them whether the representatives of the opposition coalition "Serbia against violence" will go to the meeting with Brnabić on Monday.
The leader of the People's Party of Serbia, Miroslav Aleksić, believes that there is no point in further participation in the talks "if they do not accept the request that all local elections be announced for June 2".
"It is still not too late for that if they want the opposition in the elections, otherwise we will not participate in their election violence without implementing the recommendations of the ODIHR and an organized voter list," Aleksic said.
Talks between the government and the opposition on improving election conditions through the implementation of ODIHR recommendations were interrupted on Wednesday because the government did not accept one of the opposition's three demands - that all upcoming local elections be held on the same day. The request for unification of local elections was presented by the opposition because, as they stated, they doubt that the government will move fictitious voters to Belgrade.
If the demands are not fulfilled, the opposition announces that it will not participate in the elections and that they will be ignored or prevented.
