President of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić announced that on September 27, he would resign from the position of head of state and that he would address the citizens in the evening of the same day.
Vučić, speaking about Student list, made the claim that the former president of the Democratic Party, Bojan Pajtić, and the vice-president of that party, Dušan Petrović, stand behind her as real leaders.
He told Pink television that, in his opinion, there are no students on the list, but that its candidates are ideological followers of Pajtić and Petrović.
Commenting on Pajtić's statement that he had previously underestimated the level of hatred towards the authorities in Serbia, Vučić said that such assessment was wrong, but that it referred to a period of four or five years ago.
Referring to the case of the alleged use of a "sound cannon" during the student protest on March 15 last year in Belgrade, the President of Serbia reiterated that he believes that the whole story is fabricated and that it caused damage.
Vučić claimed that the persons who, as he stated, organized the revolution from abroad and participated in those events consciously tried to deepen conflicts in society by provoking strong negative emotions, with the ultimate goal of destabilizing the country and possibly leading to a civil war.
According to his words, a sound was subsequently added to the original sound track that was supposed to remind of the take-off of the plane, because of which it could seem to the citizens that something had "cleaned" them. Vučić assessed that it was a staged recording.
He stated that representatives of the Higher Public Prosecutor's Office in Belgrade came to such a conclusion with the help of, as he said, the most expert people in the country. According to his opinion, the prosecution would not have come out with such a conclusion if it was not completely sure of the findings and if it did not have strong expert support for it.
