Aleksandar Vučić: Eyewitness accounts of the killing of Serbs in the next 24 hours

In a video message on Instagram, Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić stated that the seven perhaps most difficult days in the last 15 years are behind us, "the most difficult because of the events in Kosovo and Metohija, but also because of the general campaign launched against our Serbia, a campaign of lies and untruths." 

Vučić pointed out that Serbia could see that it has friends, they are not numerous, but they are brave and they are people who dignify the order of the UN and the right of small people to their voice, the right to life and the survival of small nations, adding that one principle applies for everyone else, and suddenly it doesn't apply only to Serbs.

"When eight policemen were killed in North Macedonia, it was not done by terrorists, even though they did it on the territory of a sovereign country recognized by the UN, and when one policeman, who by the way according to the Brussels agreement cannot be where he was, is killed, and what do we condemn and in what way we do not justify, then all Serbs up to the age of 14 must be investigated, arrested, killed without any responsibility or the right to defend themselves," said Vučić. 

Pointing out that in the previous days they lied a lot about the presence of Serbian military forces, Vučić said that it bothered them that they realized that Serbia has, as they say, sophisticated weapons. According to him, the hardest part was listening to the stories about how Serbia had to welcome the action of the Kosovo police and the assurances that it was not done in a professional manner were in vain.

Vučić added that Serbia's question remained unanswered, why EULEX was refused to participate in the operation itself, instead they were placed in the operating room so that they could only watch from a distance how they were doing something, and they had to support it, because "everything that is against Serbs must be welcomed". 

"You can dream of the independence of Kosovo"

He pointed out that those attempts to keep Belgrade silent about how some of the Serbs were killed "did not succeed and will not pass" and that the citizens will be able to hear and see it within 24 hours. 

"We have the statements of eyewitnesses, people who were on the spot and saw how and in what way at least one wounded man was killed, brutally. And Serbia will not calm down until the full truth is known, because the lives of Serbs are not worth less than the lives of others," said Vučić, adding that he is not interested in who and how much pressure they will exert, nor how and in what way they think that hurt Serbia with their lies, both in the region and in the Western media.

"Ours is to unite, to be even stronger, to build more factories, more roads, hospitals, to strengthen our army and to protect our country, to protect our Serbia." And you can dream of the independence of Kosovo. Serbia will protect the UN Charter, Serbia will protect Resolution 1244, Serbia will protect its territorial integrity," said Vučić.
