Founder of the association "Defend the rivers of Stara Planina" and leader of the Ecological Uprising Aleksandar Jovanovic Silent, he told "Vreme" on Thursday that "whoever wants to celebrate, let him celebrate", because the problem has not been solved.
He believes that the main goal of the protest is "the expulsion of Rio Tinto from Serbia" and adds that "there is no stopping", and that the road blockade will continue on Saturday at 13 pm near the Sava Center.
"On September 11, we promised 20.000 people that Rio Tinto should be driven out of here for all time. That is not a promise, that is our mission", said Ćuta.
Leader of "Together for Serbia" Nebojsa Zelenovic said earlier in an interview for "Vreme" that the civil protest has an additional demand - the resignation of Olivera Zekić and REM members. He said that it was his idea, but that it did not mean that the first ultimate demands were abandoned.
President of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić addressed the nation on Wednesday evening and said that the new Law on Expropriation will be withdrawn, as well as that he proposed changes to the Law on Referendum and People's Initiative in accordance with the demands of the organizers of environmental protests. He emphasized that he did not give in "to the street", but that he listened and met the "concerned and honest people".
One of the members of the Move-change movement Savo Manojlović who organized environmental protests, declared victory on social networks and announced that, on the condition that the government fulfills the promise made by the president to the people, a celebration will be organized in Belgrade on Republic Square on Saturday at 14 p.m.
Manojlović invited other organizations to organize celebrations in central squares throughout Serbia in that case. Kreni-promeni announced that the protest will continue on the highway if the decisions on expropriation laws and the referendum are not formally implemented by Friday.
Meteorologists predict snow for Saturday in Belgrade.
