Roma are the poorest community in Serbia. Two-thirds of them cannot even pay for prescribed drugs or testing for Covid-19. In 38 percent of Roma settlements, not a single residential building is connected to water, and more than 70 percent do not have sewage. Until now, the effects of the planned improvement of the living conditions of Roma women and men were limited to workshops on discrimination or educational programs of non-governmental organizations. Only slightly more than 0,1 percent of Roma are employed in the public administration
