Violence in Serbia was not imported from the West (as if everything is peaceful in the East), as the former Minister of Education Ružić said, but is largely the result of a long-term cover-up of crimes committed during the wars in Yugoslavia. Every country has its crimes, but a responsible state does not cover them up for the sake of a good image and protection of the ruling elite
