History of the Yugoslav Air Force (1)
At its peak, Aeroput flies to all four corners of the world: north to Budapest, Brno and Prague, west to Venice and Milan, south to Tirana, east to Bucharest and Sofia. Almost all major Yugoslav cities (Zagreb, Podgorica, Dubrovnik, Sarajevo, Ljubljana, Sušak–Rijeka, Split and Skopje) and some smaller ones (Bitolj, Borovo) are connected to Belgrade. Before the Second World War Aeroput had a modern fleet of 14 aircraft (with seven Lockheeds as the backbone) served by a dozen pilots and five radio-telegraphers.
