After the resolution of the European Parliament, the report of the European Commission and Reporters without Borders, not even Freedom House has a much better opinion of Serbia. For Vučić it is "stupidity"
The reports of the United Nations, Reporters without Borders, but also the European Parliament and the European Commission represent a real defeat for Serbia, and especially for the Vučić regime.
In less than two months, out of 34 attacks on journalists, 14 were committed by violent supporters of the Serbian Progressive Party, and 20 attacks were carried out by law enforcement officers, according to Reporters Without Borders.
While Norway still leads the list as the country with the best conditions for journalists, most of the Balkan countries, including Serbia, Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina, are rated as problematic or difficult for the media to work in.
On the media freedom index for 2025, Serbia was ranked two places better than last year and now ranks 96th out of a total of 180 countries. However, in reality, Serbia's result is the worst since this index has been measured, according to Reporters Without Borders (RSF).
