I expect something unpleasant to happen to me

We often rightly criticize the European Union for actually sacrificing democratization and the rule of law in our country for the sake of security. These are the issues of Kosovo, Serbia's relationship with Russia, as well as the fear of causing regional conflicts. However, what is happening now is that the regime is causing internal instability in Serbia. It is just as dangerous, if not more dangerous than what the European Union is afraid of. For this reason, I think they will understand that the priority at this moment must be the internal stabilization of the situation in Serbia. And that means the end of intimidation, the end of hate speech, the end of terror, as well as the insistence on the action of judicial authorities, prosecutors, courts

What will happen after the circus around Orlović: When will the new dean of FPN be elected?

FPN professor Slaviša Orlović, whose election as dean was decided amid protests in front of the faculty, announced on Saturday that he was "resigning from the position of dean" and added that "the faculty is above all." Thus, the position of the new dean at FPN remained vacant. A large part of the Faculty Council has resigned, so it is not clear whether a new dean can be voted in the near future

Slaviša Orlović: New dean, old "predator"?

Professor Slaviša Orlović became the dean of the Faculty of Political Sciences. Ever since his candidacy, that information fueled old accusations that he allegedly sexually abused female students. There are a number of testimonies about this, even more stories, and even Orlović's colleagues from the faculty are not ready to speak by name.

The only way to defend institutions from usurpation is to participate in them

"I think that political parties in Serbia cannot wait for ideal conditions to participate in elections, but must try to find alternative channels in such conditions to communicate with citizens and, little by little, fight for their spaces and for our institutions ". associate professor at FPN Jelena Lončar tells "Vreme".

Targeting students: Lack of support from professors again

Only some university professors came to the defense of students exposed to attacks for participating in the "Serbia against violence" protests. "No one is asking you to come out as a professor and support someone's political views," says Vojin Radovanović, a student of the FPN and journalist of the daily newspaper "Danas". But professors should step forward and say that in a democratic society it is not normal for anyone to suffer persecution for a word spoken in public

Bowing to pressure gives the more aggressive what they want

"The fact is that the state sometimes stood behind organizations like the National Patrol and many others. When they were guarding the mural of Ratko Mladic, even President Vučić said something like 'well, those are dangerous guys' and mentioned them by name. The bigger problem is some kind of logistical, unopened support, as well as the tolerance that the state showed for what Leviathan or the People's Patrols were doing. Now Zentropa stands out as the most aggressive and ideologically radical group"

Protests and students: Why they are not on the streets

Students used to be the most powerful lever of civil protest. In Serbia, street protests are being organized again, they are visible on social networks, everyone knows about them, but students and young people are not joining them in serious numbers. It seems that their social potential has been lost somewhere
