At least three people, including a child, died in the night in Russian attacks near the Ukrainian capital Kyiv, a local official announced.
In the early hours of Saturday morning, missiles hit an area east of the capital and witnesses reported loud explosions, just days after attacks across Ukraine killed 21 people.
The head of the regional military administration, Timur Tkachenko, announced that three people were killed in the ballistic missile attacks, while three others were injured. He stated that parts of the downed missiles damaged residential buildings and cars, while a fire broke out in another building.
Firefighters and members of the emergency services extinguished fires at a building and a fuel tank in Kyiv, mayor Vitaly Klitschko wrote on Telegram.
Ukraine's State Emergency Service (DSNS) published photos showing burning garages, a business facility and a building in Kyiv, with the message that the number of victims is being determined.
