Rusija carried out the biggest air attack on Thursday Ukraine since the beginning of the war, targeting targets in Kyiv and other cities with hundreds of drones, and at least 13 people have died in the Ukrainian capital alone.
Russia launched 1.567 drones in two days, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said, according to Reuters.
Zelensky said that Russia carried out 670 drone attacks and 56 missile attacks during the night, and the attacks continued during the day.
"These are definitely not the actions of those who believe that the war is coming to an end," Zelensky said and reiterated that it is important that Ukraine's "partners do not remain silent" about these attacks.
According to the rescue teams in Kyiv, it is certain for now that 13 people have died, including two children, reports Ukrinform.
Due to the escalation of Russian attacks on Ukraine, an emergency session of the United Nations Security Council was announced for May 19.
