The polling stations in the early elections for the president of the Republika Srpska closed at 7:00 p.m., and the CEC of BiH will announce the first preliminary election results at 11:00 p.m., as announced.

There were six candidates for president of the RS on the ballots: Siniša Karan from the SNSD, Branko Blanuša from the SDS, Dragan Đokanović from the Alliance for a New Policy, Nikola Lazarević from the Ecological Party of the RS and independent candidates Igor Gašević and Slavko Dragičević.
The spokesperson of the Alliance of Independent Social Democrats (SNSD), Radovan Kovačević, in an address from the party's headquarters after the closing of polling stations, expects the victory of the party's candidate Sinisa Karan.
Kovačević said that this can be seen in only a small sample of five percent of the counted ballots, where Karan received 5.060 votes, and his opponent Branko Blanuša, around 3.000. and added that he hopes that difference will grow.
