Russian President Vladimir Putin turned 74 on Wednesday. It's Wednesday Rusija carried out one of the "most vile" air attacks on Ukraine, said Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. At least 28 people died, while another 100 were injured.
The biggest losses were recorded in the town of Priluka in the northern Chernihiv region, whose governor said a Russian rocket destroyed a five-story residential building and killed 20 people, including five children.
According to Kiev's data, on October 7, Russia fired 70 rockets and dozens of "Shahed" drones.
What does Moscow say?
The Russian Ministry of Defense announced that the armed forces of Russia carried out a "massive attack" on military-industrial facilities in Ukraine.
Among the targets were the facilities of the Ukrainian defense company "Fire Point", which produces cruise missiles and drones.
In addition, the port and shipyard infrastructure in the Black Sea region of Odessa, as well as a ship with military cargo that was on its way to it, were targeted.

However, global supplies of Patriots have been depleted due to the war in Iran and the conflict in Ukraine, writes the German "Spiegel".
Instead of supplying Ukraine with additional air defense systems, the European Union responded with new sanctions against the Russian military-industrial complex and ballistic missile manufacturers and by allocating a new 1,2 billion euros to the Ukrainian army.
Zelensky emphasized that Wednesday's attacks coincided with Russian President Vladimir Putin's birthday.
"It's a kind of birthday present that Putin gave himself: killing children, killing people," he said in his evening video address.
Zelensky also announced that on October 7, Ukrainian troops hit four targets in Russia, including two oil facilities.
