By order of the Higher Public Prosecutor's Office in Smederevo, and in a joint action with the Police Administration in Smederevo and the Security Information Agency, 11 persons from the area of Velika Plana and Belgrade were arrested. They are suspected of having committed crimes of racial and other discrimination and espionage.
It is suspected that, acting on the instructions of a foreign intelligence service, they aimed to violate basic human rights and freedoms in France and Germany based on differences in race, skin color and religious affiliation, nationality and ethnic origin.
"There are grounds for suspicion that the fugitive suspect, acting on the instructions of a foreign intelligence service, organized and trained a group of Serbian citizens on the territory of the Republic of Serbia to, on the basis of differences in race, skin color, religious affiliation, nationality and ethnic origin, on the territory of Austria and Germany, violate basic human rights and freedoms guaranteed by generally accepted rules of international law and ratified international treaties. Also, their goal was to spread ideas that advocate and they incite hatred, discrimination and violence based on the differences in the personal characteristics of certain groups of people," says the Ministry of the Interior of Serbia.
As it is added, these activities were carried out in the period from April to September 2025, by throwing green paint on the Holocaust museum, several synagogues and a Jewish restaurant, sticking stickers with genocidal content, placing pig heads near Muslim religious buildings, all in the area of Paris, as well as in front of the Brandenburg Gate in Berlin, by placing concrete skeletons with written messages.
"The suspects will be brought to the premises of the Higher Public Prosecutor's Office in Smederevo within the legal term of 48 hours for questioning," the Ministry of Interior states.
