According to unofficial information published by Jutarnji list, the Croatian Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs intended to Of Serbia in Croatia Jelena Milic declared persona non grata, due to a series of incidents that violated diplomatic norms.
Milić attracted public attention with behavior that, to put it mildly, did not contribute to the improvement of relations between Croatia and Serbia, and one of the last incidents, according to Jutarnji, was her request to organize a round table on Ustasha crimes, reports Index.
In addition, the celebration of the Statehood Day and the Day of the Serbian Army, which Milić planned at the Culture Factory, failed because most of the invited did not respond, which is why she had to cancel the event.
Milić marked her mandate with demonstrative departures from several events. She left the SNV Christmas reception due to a disagreement with Milorad Pupovec over a letter of support for young people in Serbia, she clashed with Hrvoje Klasić and Nino Raspudić at the "Thompson uber alles" panel, accusing Croatia of a lack of reckoning with the past, and she also left the conference on minorities, due to Jasna Vojnić's criticism of the Serbian leadership.
SNV President Milorad Pupovac said today that Milić caused damage to the relations between the two countries with her behavior and pointed out that diplomacy requires subtlety, which she did not show.
Today, the Government of Serbia recalled Milić from his position as Serbian ambassador to Croatia.
