Russian Lieutenant General Fanil Sarvarov was killed in explosion cars in Moscow.
The car exploded on Yasenevaya Street in Moscow, the RBK portal reports, citing two sources from the police.
According to reports, the general was trapped in the car, but was later extracted and hospitalized in serious condition.
RIA Novosti subsequently confirmed that Sarvarov had died.

"Due to his injuries, Lt. Gen. Fanil Sarvarov, head of the operational training department of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces, died," said Svetlana Petrenko, spokeswoman for the Russian Investigative Committee.
She added that one of the versions being investigated is that the bomb was planted by Ukrainian special services.
"SHOT", a Russian news channel on Telegram, reported that an explosive device was placed under the Kia Sorento car, which was detonated seconds after the car started moving.
According to the channel, the 56-year-old general suffered multiple shrapnel wounds, closed fractures, leg wounds and facial bone fractures.

RBK reminds that Sarvarov was the head of the Directorate for Operational Training of the Armed Forces from May 2024.
At that time, as stated, he was promoted to the rank of lieutenant general by presidential decree.
