A new wave of refugees
Fears that the Middle East is being plunged into a devastating humanitarian crisis are emerging as Iran's widespread retaliation to US-Israeli attacks is sparking mass unrest across the region, a spokesman for the refugee agency UNHCR said.
"A disturbing picture of displacement is now emerging," UNHCR told CNN. "As the conflict intensifies and escalates, we could see ... more human suffering and more people ... forced from their homes."
UNHCR adds that Iranian authorities estimate that more than 100.000 people may have left Tehran in the first two days of the war. "But that's an understatement," they say
While there has been significant internal displacement, the organization is also concerned about the impact of the conflict outside of Iran.
"It has also spread to Lebanon... We are seeing thousands of people moving," they said, explaining that current UNHCR estimates suggest that some "96.000 people inside Lebanon" are living in "more than 440 collective shelters."
UNHCR is also concerned about the 1,65 million Afghan refugees still housed in Iran, as well as the tens of thousands of Syrian refugees returning to Syria from Lebanon and crossing borders without a safe place to go.

Trump on a possible deal
On his Truth Social platform, Donald Trump laid out the conditions for an end to US strikes on Iran, writing: "There will be no deal with Iran short of UNCONDITIONAL SURRENDER!"
The US president has so far refused to offer a time frame for ending hostilities with the regime, telling Time magazine in an interview that he believed the administration's goals could be achieved within four or five weeks, but that there was "no time limit on anything" and he wanted to "get it over with".
"After that, and the election of a GREAT AND ACCEPTABLE leader(s), we and many of our wonderful and very brave allies and partners will work tirelessly to bring Iran back from the brink of destruction, making it economically bigger, better and stronger than ever before," he wrote on Friday. "IRAN WILL HAVE A GREAT FUTURE. "LET'S MAKE IRAN GREAT AGAIN."
Trump said he wanted to be "involved in the naming" of a successor to Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, who was killed along with several Iranian officials last Saturday.

IDF: 50 Israeli planes hit the Iranian Supreme Leader's underground bunker in Tehran
Today, fifty Israeli planes hit the underground bunker of the supreme leader in the heart of Tehran, the Israeli army announced.
The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) announced that the operation was carried out this morning, and the bunker was located under the Iranian regime's leadership complex.
Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei was killed in the initial US-Israeli strikes last Saturday.
"Khamnei was eliminated before he could use the bunker during Operation Roaring Lion, but the compound continued to be used by senior Iranian regime officials," the IDF said on Telegram.

CNN: US radar bases hit in Jordan and UAE
Satellite images from several key military bases in the Arabian Peninsula indicate that Iran is trying to weaken air defenses by destroying US-made radars that detect incoming missiles and drones, CNN writes.
The radar system of the US THAAD anti-missile system battery in Jordan was hit and apparently destroyed in the first days of the US-Israeli strikes on Iran, a satellite image taken on Monday showed.
Buildings housing similar radar systems were also hit at two locations in the United Arab Emirates, a CNN analysis shows, although it was unclear whether the equipment was damaged.
Radar is a key element of this advanced missile interception system, which is used to detect and destroy ballistic missiles as they fly towards their target.
The United States has eight batteries of the THAAD system, while the UAE has two and Saudi Arabia has one. The affected battery was located at Muwaffak Salti Air Base in Jordan, more than 800 kilometers from Iran.

Arakchi: We didn't attack our neighbors, but American bases that are on their soil
Iran's Foreign Minister Abbas Arakchi said that Iranian attacks are not aimed at neighboring Muslim countries, but at US military bases and facilities in those countries.
"We did not attack our neighbors. We did not attack Muslim countries. We attacked American targets and American bases, American installations, which unfortunately are on the soil of our neighbors," Arakchi said in an interview with NBC News.
Since the US and Israel launched strikes across Iran last weekend, the Islamic Republic has retaliated by firing missiles and drones across the region, attacking Bahrain, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates and other countries.

Ministry: Several thousand of our citizens want to be transferred to Serbia
The State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Nevenoma Jovanović, told RTS that several hundreds of Serbian citizens have been transferred from war-affected areas to Serbia.
It is expected that the "Air Serbia" plane, which left this morning, will return to Serbia late in the evening, and there should be approximately 250 citizens on board, says Jovanović.
"Our embassies have regular communication with our citizens who express their desire to be transferred to the Republic of Serbia. And at the moment, there are several thousand people. The largest number of them are in the United Arab Emirates, the rest, i.e. a few thousand, are in the countries I have listed: Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait and Saudi Arabia. Iranian colonel: Attacks will expand and intensify
The spokesman of the Central Staff of the Iranian army, Colonel Ibrahim Zolfgari, said today that the response to the US-Israeli attack on the country will be expanded and intensified, and that the Iranian army continues to intercept Israeli and US aircraft and drones throughout the country.

Trump: We want to go in and clean everything up
US President Donald Trump told NBC News that he wants the Iranian leadership structure to be completely removed.
"We want to come in and clean everything up. We don't want someone who's going to redo everything in 10 years," he said.
He added that the US has in mind a potential "good leader" who could take power in Iran, but did not name specific names.
"Monitoring the situation, we are taking all necessary steps to keep these potential leaders safe in the event of a change of government," Trump said and announced the continuation of the bombing of Iran.

Media: Iran targeted Israel with missiles with cluster munitions
The Iranian Aerospace Forces (IRGC) launched an attack on Israel today, using swarms of suicide drones and advanced Khyber missiles with cluster warheads to bypass Israel's multi-layered air defenses.
According to reports, the Khyber missiles broke through the defenses of Tel Aviv in a massive joint attack, Iranian Press TV reports.
It is added that during the flight to their targets, the rockets fragmented into dozens of smaller, fast warheads, which made the Israeli anti-aircraft systems completely ineffective.

NATO: "Bondstyle" in Kosovo was not used for US attacks on Iran
NATO rejected allegations that the "Bondsteel" military base on Kosovo used for US attacks on Iran.
That military alliance emphasized that as an organization it does not participate in the military campaign against the Iranian authorities.
