The Israeli side claims that the targets were members of Hezbollah, an organization supported by Tehran, while Lebanese officials say that civilians were also hit.
The Israeli army announced that it killed Ali Yusuf Harshi, a cousin of Hezbollah leader Naim Qassem, in an airstrike on Beirut last night.
Adding to the confusion is whether Lebanon is covered by the ceasefire agreement at all. While Pakistan, which brokered the talks, claims it is, Israel and the United States deny it.

A new round of negotiations has been announced for the next few days in Pakistan, where American and Iranian representatives should try to clarify the disputed points.
However, accusations are already coming from Tehran that certain parts of their proposal were violated even before the start of the talks, which further calls into question the prospects for stabilization.
