Protesters in America gathered in 2.600 cities across the country to fight back Trump's policies towards immigrants, in education and in the field of security, which they believe are pushing the country towards autocracy.
They could be targeted by federal government surveillance with a range of technologies that could include facial recognition and hacking, civil liberties activists said, Reuters reports.
Saturday's protests also began outside the USA, with several hundred demonstrators gathered in front of the American embassy in London, while about a hundred of them demonstrated in Madrid and Barcelona, according to the British agency.
