House of Representatives of Congress SAD- and on Thursday (April 16) evening, like previously, the Senate again rejected the resolution of the opposition Democrats on the basis of which US forces would be withdrawn from the war in Iran – until Congress authorizes military action.
The resolution was within reach of adoption, as 213 congressmen voted for it and 214 against. This is happening because Republicans generally continue to support the war that is the US President Donald tramp led against Iran.
This was the fourth attempt to pass the resolution in the two houses of Congress where Republicans have a majority, with the House of Representatives having only a slight majority.
Democrats fear that the US will be embroiled in another protracted conflict in the Middle East. Their representatives have announced new attempts to pass the resolution in the coming weeks.
