The prosecutor in the Iranian city of Kerman, Mehdi Bakshi, said that Iranian security services had arrested all the terrorists involved in an attack in the city this week that killed more than 90 civilians to mark the fourth anniversary of the killing of the elite Quds Force general of Iran's Revolutionary Guard, Qassem. Mehdi Bakshi said that 32 people were arrested in connection with the Kerman case.
"They are going through preliminary tests," Bakashi said, according to the semi-official Fars news agency.
Bakshi pointed out that 16 bombs were found in Kerman province, the explosive power of which is far stronger than the explosive vests used in Wednesday's attack.
"During the past months, 23 terrorists who were ready to carry out suicide terrorist attacks were detained in Kerman province," the Iranian prosecutor revealed.
Fars Agency states that at least 91 people were killed and more than 280 were wounded in the explosions in Kerman.
Bakshi dismissed rumors that the explosive devices used in the attack were in trash cans and were detonated from a distance.
He said that the explosions were caused by suicide bombers, one of whom is from Tajikistan.
"The terrorists failed to plant any explosives in the cemetery," Bakshi said.
The Islamic State claimed responsibility for this terrorist attack.
