Historic out-of-court settlement: For pollution with "eternal chemicals" $450 million
This is just one in a huge series of proceedings that are being conducted against the producers of the so-called PFAS, chemicals that are all around us today
The appointment of Dr. Matsuto to the post of prime minister is an example of severe political abuse of an obviously ambitious man, with very modest management experience and, possibly, convinced that he will at least be consulted here and there. But nothing depends on him, but nothing at all
In the thirty-eighth minute of the President's address, Serbia learned the name of the representative. The vast majority of citizens also heard about Dr. Đura Matsut for the first time. But it doesn't even matter - by that time, Vučić had already presented a summary of the exposé of the future prime minister. From the words of the head of state, it is easy to conclude that Dr. Macut will not be burdened with putting together his cabinet. He has already finished that for him. After all, no one knows the president's political views.
At first glance, Vučić announced a progressive counter-revolution in his address. And what else could he say? He painted himself into a corner with inadžija and conflict politics. Many would interpret his rational behavior as a sign of weakness.
But if Vučić is not capable and willing for direct negotiations, can he use Dr. Macut as a mediator and public courier? The new prime minister offers possible concessions to the rebellious part of society. If this is the case, Vučić will have the opportunity to lift his glasses, sigh heavily, moan and make other sounds well known to every citizen of Serbia. Apparently, he is angry with the government even though it is doing what he ordered it to do, "but well", he will not interfere...
But why would Vučić need indirect negotiations? Especially since every day celebrates the end of the "color revolution"?
Under one: even if what Vučić is saying is true - and it is not - the only victory he can count on is Pirova's. Since the beginning of November, the composition of the National Assembly does not reflect the mood of Serbia. Ana Brnabić therefore had to abolish parliamentarism and replace it with voting work on a conveyor belt of a low-skilled progressive workforce. The arrogance and simplism of the ruling majority is passing, it needs a break to regain its breath.
Two: The Serbian Progressive Party has become a spoiled brat. His feathers will not grow. The fact that he is still crowing in the yard is not an indication of strength, but of the absence of a real political rival. But it won't stay that way forever, regardless of all the disappointments and pleas of many that they will never vote for opposition candidates again. When Stan-Pani arrives, he will change his mind at least out of pure revolt. Simple - even though it doesn't work, there is an alternative. And where would the opposition end up getting stuck and coming to their senses...
Three: if he succeeded in the jihad against education and higher education, Vučić did something illegal and unconstitutional. This firefighting with gasoline will not endear him to teachers and professors. The manner and methods of that calculation caused disgust in other institutions as well - healthcare, justice, state services... They are also robbed of honestly earned money, forced to call injustice justice, make decisions contrary to personal and any other ethics. In this way, the regime can push to some extent, but only like a dysfunctional family and with the same consequences.
Four: the monologue leading the country via television has reached its zenith. Only the one who has been enlightened by pink televisions and tabloids believes that there is anything sincere in Vučić's lamentation for Dodik, fear of tensions in the region and other apocalyptic announcements. This propaganda folklore exists solely to divert Serbia's attention from its real problems. And what they are and how they should be solved were defined long ago by students. After all, their drive to Strasbourg has already done more for Serbia in terms of foreign policy than all of Vučić's sittings in Washington, Paris, Berlin and Moscow.
Finally, five: the extraction of Dr. Macut nevertheless shows Vučić's awareness of the widespread unpopularity of progressive cadres, but also his deep shying away from these people. He himself knows best how he dispossessed Toma Nikolić as soon as he had the chance. And since no one among the progressives has the right to a political vision and an attempt to realize it, everyone must be vassals without the attitude and backbone of a single man. In return, they are given a ban where they can do whatever they want. This is not stability, but a feudal system on the verge of anarchy.
Yes - this situation is really serious. The appointment of Dr. Matsuto to the post of prime minister is an example of severe political abuse of an obviously ambitious man, with very modest management experience and, possibly, convinced that he will at least be consulted here and there. In that direction, they might even allow him to take a couple of friends as ministers.
The composition of the new government is of no importance to anyone. People who are successful in their professions or progressive celebrities know or will find out very soon that power and real authority do not reside in Nemanja's 11.
Soon Dr. Macut will face reality. He has a choice in front of him - either hiding in offices like Dr. Zoran Radojicic as mayor of Belgrade, or transforming into Ana Brnabić. A certain intermediate solution is to let him play the role of courier between Vučić and the rebel society. But nothing depends on the future prime minister, nothing at all.

Putin nevertheless received Vučić. If the latter is to be believed, Serbia will have as much oil and gas as our hearts desire. And a cheap one. I am afraid, however, of the folk saying "He who does not pay on the bridge, pays on the bridge". And if the situation could be even worse, this behavior of Vučić could "burn" all bridges and bridges towards the EU. And then there is neither the opening of clusters, nor the first 110 million non-returnable euros from the Growth Plan, nor European investments
Young people in Serbia, aware of their capabilities, knowledge and ingenuity in leading the fight for justice, shook the foundations of the system that anesthetized its citizens (their parents), narrowed the spaces for them to talk, divided them into "citizens" and students in the blockade and directly confronted them. But how did they manage to shake the foundations of the system? Precisely thanks to the attitude that their every action exudes: Is there anything we can't do?
Seseljization and pinkoization threaten to destroy the culture, identity and future of the entire nation. The defense of the university is not enough, but it is a necessary condition for the preservation of all those values
