How severe is the healthcare crisis in Serbia? It will be huge as soon as citizens have to be examined by an incomplete medical student Miloš Pavlović instead of a doctor with a diploma in a mobile clinic. He is the first inhabitant of Ćaciland, the one who "wants to learn".
A long time ago, that guy failed the moral and life tests. Because if it wasn't, he wouldn't have published photos of himself in a white doctor's coat and a patient in the "capacity" of an extra on social networks. This is how he once again spat on current and future colleagues. And since he pushed so hard to learn, I guess he could learn what the right to privacy and dignity of patients are, but also the protection of personal data.
The motive of Pavlović and his political mentors is particularly disgusting. These are the most mundane interests of the regime before the next elections (see text on page 6).
And it is not the first time that young Pavlović has participated in the abuse of the medical profession. On that day, the Minister of Health, Dr. Zlatibor Lončar, personally visited him in the Emergency Center after the students in the blockade pushed him and poured water on him in front of the student dormitory. His place of residence - officially established in court - was Ćaciland at the time.
If Pavlović was only measuring the pressure, it's still good. It is a much bigger problem if he was giving opinions or - far from it - diagnoses. In any case, the incomplete regime student further deepened the uncertainty related to timely and professional treatment.
RESOURCES, ENERGY AND NERVES
Miloš Pavlović is just a small fish in the regime's propaganda sea. The boy agreed to everything and is looking to get something out of it. The real shark is the head of state and the entire Ćaciland. He keeps the whole country in suspense.
It is unlikely that Vučić himself can remember the dates for which he announced the parliamentary or presidential elections. This game of "can be, must mean" still has its own system.
If we exclude the widely held thesis that Vučić is not satisfied with the "numbers" in public opinion polls, there are at least three more goals for the will-not policy.
The first is causing uncertainty among political actors. Because what should students do as a dominant anti-regime force? There is always a danger that, like the opposition in the past, they will unpreparedly welcome the announcement of sources. And yet, constantly being on standby consumes resources, energy and, especially, nerves.
Vučić's second goal is to crush Serbia, which expects elections as the only way to end the deep political crisis. At some point - the president of Serbia reckons in his announced resignation - the rebellious society will get tired and, with a little luck, divide through the curse of small differences. Then they will seize the moment and win the elections...
Finally – Vučić's third goal. It is the attitude of the entire society and, especially, of its own electorate in the belief that everything depends on it. That is why he keeps the country in suspense by telling it that he will do something or not as he pleases.
However, he seems to have overplayed his hand. Seseljism and the continuation of fueling deep divisions in the age of uncertainty, in all probability, "lowered his numbers" even more. (see page 16). It seems that the good work of the people has been overshadowed by the production of enemies, an undeclared state of emergency, arrogance, stupidity, injustice, repression...
Nobody needs to point that out to Vučić, he sees it himself. That is why he reached out for the "unification of Serbia". But what does it look like under his direction?
KNIFE, INSTAGRAM AND THE ROAD AROUND KRAGUJEVCA
A certain Saša Stevanović from the vicinity of Kragujevac threatened on social media to slaughter Vučić and Informer editor DJ Vučićević. He was immediately arrested. Several things are interesting here.
It is indicative that the threat came after the beating of the writer Vladimir Arsenijević, the arrest warrant for the journalist Aleksandar Radić, Minister Snežana Paunović's regret that Milošević did not ethnically cleanse Kosovo in 1998, and the address of the councilor Cvija Vasić to the opposition in the Novi Sad assembly with the words "You have slaughtered Serbs enough". (see text on page 12)
It is even more striking that Vučić holds almost nothing against Stevanović. Well, it's not his fault, but the victim of the manipulation of those who "wanted to divide Serbia, those who divided our families, those who, through their mainstream media and social networks, wanted to destroy our beloved homeland with huge money from the outside".
This is how Vučić envisions the "unification of Serbia". So - as a continuation of the hunt for "foreign mercenaries", professional media and "destroyers of the country together with the Constitutional Order". In this direction, it is worth thinking about Stevanović himself.
Perhaps his threat is a fake staging or manipulation in order for the regime to relativize the tireless student and opposition insistence on non-violence, and perhaps his motive is crazy and unjustified attention-grabbing; perhaps Vučić's pity towards Stevanović is an attempt to show that he is not only protecting his thugs, but also "ordinary people" who were seduced by "anti-Serb villains", and perhaps in return he expects the mentioned citizen to apologize to him on one of the regime's televisions and explain at length how the "blockades" pushed him astray.
It is possible that there will be none of the above. But as Vučić personally announced the threat of slaughter on his profile, and then continued with the standard pre-election bragging about "a new bypass around Kragujevac", such questions are inevitable. Because the only thing that is certain in the progressive personality cult is - uncertainty.
TRAPPED, HUMILIATED AND DISENfranchised
Many in Serbia know that the current government has long been outgrown. They abhor the country's collapse of civilization and the kleptocracy that runs it. They are tired of meaningless speeches, daily scandals and pressures. Most of all, all these people would like to lead normal lives in a peaceful and orderly country, aware that this is not possible under Vučić. But then comes the famous but…
What will happen to pensions when the government changes? Will the dinar weaken and thus make loans related to the euro more expensive? How to heal without well-established connections with progressive leaders? Is Serbia facing a recession if kleptocratic businesses die?
A certain number of people are still intimidated by all this. Trampled for too long, humiliated and disenfranchised in the clutches of systemic corruption and eyeless propaganda, over the years they have become resistant to the world around them. That life in uncertainty that breaks and bends the spine presupposes eternal bowing of the head, minding "one's business", participating in autocratic rituals, closing one's eyes to the truth... They are Vučić's last stronghold.
These people should not be condemned, nor should they be threatened with revanchism. On the contrary, it is necessary to do everything to explain to them that Bata Gašić, Era Ojdanić and roasting pigs under a tent do not solve any of their problems, but push them to an even greater margin (see text on page 9). Miloš Pavlović is waiting for them there to - if they are lucky - measure their pressure.
The uncertainty with which the regime terrorizes citizens by depriving them of the right to decide for themselves must be ended. The sooner the better. And when that happens, only one thing is certain - Serbia and everyone in it will start the road to recovery.
