Teacher Milo Lompar he stated that his speech at last year Vidovdan protest, emphasizing that he would not change it.
"The context determines the meaning. It was a Vidovdan speech. You know what Vidovdan is. I would like to emphasize once again: whoever listens carefully to that speech, which is on YouTube, can hear that I spoke about civil rights, civil freedom, internal freedom, democracy, that is, about all the content that is relevant in this world and at this moment," Lompar told TV Nova.
He says that he is disappointed with the reactions of part of the public to the national dimension of the student protests, stating that he expected less ideological divisions.
"I was most surprised that the new generation of people, born in 2003 or 2005, were immediately exposed to a kind of ideological purgatory. Instead of understanding that these are young people with different views, they began to be classified into predetermined political categories. I think this is wrong," said Lompar.
He believes that the internal political struggle in Serbia should not be conducted through divisions over whether someone is for the European Union or Russia, but over issues of democracy, the rule of law and the fight against crime.

"We should not wage an internal war over who is for the European Union and who is for Russia. The great powers will always look at their own interests. But we also have to define our own interests and distinguish between internal and external politics. If we do not do that, someone will always appear who will wave the national flag, while completely different political and economic processes will take place behind it," said Lompar.
Speaking about the criticisms he has been exposed to in recent days, Lompar assessed that they are a consequence of his insistence on overcoming the division between the authorities and, as he says, the "pro-European opposition".
"I am of the opinion that those two corridors are no longer enough and that the content of politics must be redefined. The year 2026 cannot be explained by political matrices from the nineties. Since my views are known as nationally oriented and at the same time peaceful, I have become a convenient target, even though I have nothing to do with organizing student protests," concluded Lompar.
