Kosovo police and customs officials seized a large amount of drugs and other medications worth several thousand euros in two pharmacies in Zvečan and Kosovska Mitrovica. The Serbian list indicates that Prishtina continues its policy of denying the right to treatment, as well as all other rights.
In separate actions, police and customs officials stayed for about three hours in pharmacies, they confirmed RTS eyewitnesses.
As they state, they took at least ten sacks of medicine from the private pharmacy "Oreol" in Mitrovica.
"They took everything they could off the shelves," say eyewitnesses.
The confiscated goods were taken to the customs terminal in the southern part of Kosovska Mitrovica.
The police confirmed that they asked for their assistance from customs when checking pharmacies, in order to determine whether they sell drugs without papers and origin.
Office for Kosovo and Metohija: Kurti creates unbearable living conditions for Serbs
On the occasion of today's raid on pharmacies, the Office for Kosovo and Metohija announced that this prevents the already difficult access to medicines, as well as their supply in the north of the province. They point out that it is a problem that affects all categories of the population.
"This is another indicator that instead of de-escalation, Kurti is making new escalating moves in the north of Kosovo and Metohija every day, especially in order to make life impossible for Serbs and thus force them to leave their centuries-old hearths," the statement said.
