RRA on RTS: In the structure of the total broadcast time of RTS, the most represented type of content is informational programs
RRA on Pink: the TV Pink reality program was often controversial and the Republic Broadcasting Agency received a large number of petitions and complaints from viewers about that content.
RRA on B 92: The informative program remained the most represented content
RRA on commercial broadcasters: None of the genres: documentary, scientific - educational, cultural - artistic, children's and sports, on the broadcaster's programs individually had a participation of more than 5 percent in the total broadcast program
On June 11, the Council of the Republic Broadcasting Agency adopted the annual report "Public Service Radio and Television of Serbia - ways to fulfill legal and programming obligations for 2013" and the annual report "Commercial broadcasters - ways to fulfill legal and programming obligations for 2013" and decided to make it available to the public.
The Council of RBA noted the problem of serious collapse of the diversity of programs of commercial TV broadcasters with a license for national coverage, so discussions will be held with the broadcasters about this problem.
announces Service for supervision and analysis of RRA broadcasters' programs. Here are the excerpts from those reports:
Fulfillment of legal and program obligations (RTS 1 and RTS 2)
Radio and Television of Serbia on both its channels (RTS 1 and RTS 2) fulfilled the obligations arising from Article 73 of the Law on Broadcasting - mandatory quotas of Serbian language and own production.
With the percentage participation of independent productions (RTS 1 ─ 7,57 percent and RTS 2 ─ 8,81 percent), Radio and Television of Serbia did not meet the legally defined quota of at least 10 percent participation of independent productions in the total annual time of the broadcast program (Article 74 of the Law on broadcasting).
Total broadcast time (RTS 1 and RTS 2)
The share of the RTS 1 premiere program in 2013 (49,33 percent) fell by slightly more than 20 percent compared to 2012 (62,20 percent).
The share of the RTS 2 premiere program in 2013 (37,10 percent) fell by as much as 29 percent compared to 2012 (52,10 percent).
Genres list in the structure of the total broadcast time, RTS 1 is very similar to the distribution of genres in the structure of the total annual broadcast time of the same channel - the most represented type of content is informational programs.
In the structure of the total broadcast time of RTS 2, the most represented type of content is the informative program. Sports broadcasts, which in 2012 were the most represented (15,23 percent), now participate with 12,51 percent of the total broadcasting time of RTS 2. And on RTS 1, the participation of sports broadcasts recorded a decline (from 4,90 percent in 2012 to 3,56 percent in 2013).
In the total annual broadcast time of the RTS 1 program, the representation of serial programs is 6,35 percent, while in the total broadcast time, this type of content, due to reruns, is much higher - 18,28 percent.
Scientific-educational (1,64 percent), children's (1,51 percent) and cultural-artistic programs (0,30 percent) have an extremely low representation in the total broadcasting time of RTS 1, while their participation in the total broadcasting time of RTS 2 significantly more noticeable (scientific-educational (13,22 percent), children's (6,19 percent) and cultural-artistic program (5,03 percent)).
Information programs are the most represented type of content on both RTS 1 and RTS 2.
It is broadcast in the most watched timeslots and is the most established content of the RTS 1 program scheme. In 2013, the share of informative programs recorded a large increase (62,24 percent) in the total annual time of broadcast programs on the first channel of RTS; in terms of production, the informative program is one of the cheapest programs, and that fact (therefore, the lack of money for the production and purchase of other types of content), among other things, can explain the higher percentage participation compared to 2012, which was also an election year .
One of the characteristics of the RTS 2 program is that they are broadcast on it transmitted by the Session of the Assembly of Serbia, whose share in the total primetime news program of RTS 2 amounts to 58 percent. In the total annual time of the program broadcast, the Session of the Assembly of Serbia participates with 25,06 percent. The broadcasts of the Sessions of the Assembly of Serbia, often of unpredictable duration, greatly influence the programming scheme of RTS 2, and therefore, certain contents, which by their nature do not have a commercial character, and which RTS is obliged to broadcast, have a smaller percentage share (documentary, scientific -educational, cultural-artistic, children's and religious program). Due to the transmission of Sessions, it happens that the planned contents are broadcast at different times, but the broadcaster remains consistent with its earlier determination that the first channel is reserved for attractive contents, with high ratings (informative, entertainment, film, serial programs), without the intention to enrich the programming scheme of the first channel quality cultural-artistic, documentary or scientific-educational shows, which are often shown in inappropriate terms on RTS 2.
As a consequence, we have the information that on the first program of RTS, in 2013, not even a minute of cultural and artistic program produced by itself was broadcast. The cultural and artistic program on the RTS 2 program achieves a more significant representation: Metropolis (with a participation of 15,30 percent in the prime time) analyzes problems in culture, and presents important cultural undertakings and individuals who have remained outside the media's attention; Beokult (14,65 percent) follows current events in the field of theater, literature, film, music, visual and alternative arts.
The premiere documentary program on RTS 1, with a percentage participation of 5,21 percent, belongs to a significant extent to its own production - 50,61 percent, and among the most popular titles are series that have been broadcast for many years: TV personalities: Kao sav normalan svet, which gave birth to a specific genre - an interview in documentary form, Squaring the Circle - about important and interesting people, difficult fates and humanitarian actions.
On RTS 2, the premiere documentary program has a high percentage - 75,11 percent belongs to its own production. For many years, you can follow the Trezor program (the program with the highest representation - 39,88 percent of the premiere documentary program of RTS 2), which presents the archive materials of RTS.
Reruns of documentary programs are drastically more common than prime ministers: on RTS 1 their share is 78,92 percent, and on RTS 2 80,33 percent.
The premiere scientific-educational program on RTS 1 was realized in a high percentage as its own program - 60,77 percent. The most popular content in 2013 was the series Encyclopaedia for the curious and I, we and others. The scientific-educational program of RTS 1 is repeated in a high percentage - 78,80 percent.
On RTS2, 55,12 percent of the premiere scientific-educational program belongs to its own production. According to the representation, the collage-type show All colors of life dedicated to education, upbringing and adaptation to new lifestyles stands out. And on RTS 2, reruns are more common than the prime minister and their share is 77,05 percent.
The children's program on both RTS 1 and RTS 2 was realized, to a greater extent, as a program of foreign production; and mostly repeats, on RTS 2 (77,06 percent) more than on RTS 1 (67,07 percent). Only one show, a foreign production, dubbed into Serbian - Disney on RTS makes up 36,67 percent of the total premiere children's program of RTS 1. This show is broadcast in the appropriate and established morning slot (11:00 a.m.) on Saturdays and Sundays. In its own production, the series Plava ptica on RTS 1, intended for children aged 7 to 12, stands out. In addition to an entertaining and educational approach to children, this show also uses modern forms of communication: through Facebook, the website (www.rts.rs/plavaptica), e-mail, as well as through letters sent by post.
The share of self-produced children's programs in the primetime program is much higher on RTS 1 (41,25 percent) than on RTS 2 (6,73 percent).
RTS 2 is also dominated by foreign productions with 93,27 percent of the total premier children's program. Among the shows of our own production, Zujalica stands out - a guide through various children's programs, cinemas, theaters, books, hobbies, sports.
The premier religious program on both RTS 1 and RTS 2 was realized in a high percentage of independent productions; more significant on RTS 1 - 88,16 percent, less on RTS 2 - 56,84 percent. On RTS 1, the religious program was broadcast to a greater extent as the premiere (64,21 percent), and in terms of participation, the show of independent production, Religious Calendar, dominates. On RTS 2, 74,34 percent of the religious program is broadcast in reruns, and in terms of representation in the premier religious program, the show of independent production, Religious Mosaic of Serbia, dominates.
The independent production programs Religious Calendar and Religious Mosaic of Serbia, together with traditional churches and religious communities in Serbia, are prepared by the Orthodox Eparchy of Bačka. These broadcasts, in terms of their content and conception, in the context of achieving general interest in the field of public broadcasting service, represent an example of respect for the "traditional spiritual, historical, cultural, humanitarian and educational importance and the role of churches and religious communities in society" - Article 78, paragraph 1 Item 10) of the Law on Broadcasting.
Part of the religious program of the first and second channels of RTS consists of broadcasts of significant religious events, primarily holiday services, produced in-house, as well as holiday messages from church dignitaries.
The RTS1 entertainment program is mostly premieres - 65,30 percent, while RTS 2 is mostly reruns - 82,89 percent. A high percentage (1 percent) of the premiere entertainment program on RTS 89,07 belongs to its own production. Only one show - Žika šarenica achieves a share of 47,79 percent of the total RTS1 primetime entertainment program, while the TV quiz "Slagalica", as a kind of program brand of the Radio Television of Serbia, enjoys not only a high percentage representation (26,72%) in the primetime entertainment program RTS 1 program, but also constant and established positioning in the most attractive time slot in the program schedule all seven days a week. On RTS 2, the share of own production is more noticeable (52,66 percent). One show of independent production - Vrele gume achieves a share of 43,68 percent of the total premiere entertainment program of RTS 2.
The premiere and repeat reality program on RTS 1 is even - 50,69 percent: 49,31 percent. On RTS 2, the reality program was completely repeated. On RTS 1, own production in the reality program amounts to 69,36 percent; it consists of the shows I have talent and I have talent with a share of 38,93 percent and 30,44 percent; independent production (the show Vreme je za bebe) is represented by 30,64 percent. The music program is mostly premiered on RTS 1 (61,27 percent), and mostly reruns on RTS 2 (76,86 percent). On RTS 1, the most represented show of the premier music program is Jelen Top 10, an independent production, with a share of 30,19 percent. The participation of the own production of the show "Songs Without Borders" is significant (24,44 percent). On RTS 2, the biggest participation is achieved by Concerts with 21,66 percent, as well as the shows Romane Đila and Bunt with participation of 7,72 percent, i.e. 6,78 percent of the total premiere music program of RTS 2. The series program on RTS 1 is largely reruns. - 84,23 percent, and reruns are dominated by series of own production (62,14 percent). The premiere serial program of RTS 1 is dominated by foreign productions - 89,91 percent, and the most represented series are: Do usijanja, Uistbvo and Mesto crimina: New York.
The premier serial program of his own production consisted of Ravna gora, Na putu za Montevideo, Led and Jagodići. The premiere serial program of RTS 2 belongs entirely to foreign programs, and the most represented series are Sirene, Plesna akademija and Eliza iz Rivombroza.
Reruns, mostly foreign productions (70,92 percent), dominate the series program of RTS 2. The premier film program on RTS 1 is mostly foreign productions - 97,53 percent.
The premier film program on RTS 2 also has a high percentage of foreign productions - 97,94 percent. The share of film reruns on RTS 2 with 44,90 percent is lower than on RTS 1, where reruns are represented with a share of 75,66 percent.
As a rule, the sports program is prime time; on RTS 1 even 96,55 percent, and on RTS 2 60,77 percent. This type of program on both channels mainly consists of studio shows before and during major sports events and the so-called sports previews that bring information about the most important sports events of the day or week both on the domestic and world sports scene.
Sports broadcasts are a type of content that is not included in the total annual broadcast time, but their percentage participation in the total broadcast time of the broadcaster is still not negligible. The share of sports broadcasts on the RTS 1 program is 3,56 percent, and on RTS 2 12,51 percent of the total broadcast time. Therefore, it could be said that the national public service, in this program segment, showed a high degree of responsibility in achieving the general interest in the field of public broadcasting service. Serbian Radio and Television broadcast broadcasts of the Davis and FED Cups (tennis), the Champions League (soccer, water polo, volleyball), the European Championships in basketball, volleyball, and handball; World Championships in handball, water polo, athletics, swimming; regional league matches, championship and cup matches in several sports.

Source: Republic Broadcasting Agency, Service for monitoring and analysis of broadcasters' programs: RTS monitoring report 2013
TV Prva and Happy kids TV did not fulfill the obligations stipulated by the Law on Broadcasting - TV Prva did not have at least 50 percent of its premiere programs produced in the Serbian language (48,80 percent), and Happy Kids TV did not produce at least 50 percent of its own programs in the category of premiere programs on in the Serbian language, showing only 0,19 percent of self-produced shows.
RTV Pink had the largest share of its own productions in the premiere program (89,46 percent), of which 46 percent was reality programming. Happy kids TV broadcast the most premiere programs (76,39 percent), and TV Prva the most reruns (51,58 percent).
The tendency of decreasing program diversity and the dominance of entertainment and informational content continued on the programs of commercial television. The commercialization of the program is particularly noticeable on RTV Pink, which showed 40,10 percent of the premiere program, and 30,85 percent of the total broadcast reality content.
None of the genres: documentary, scientific-educational, cultural-artistic, children's and sports, on the broadcaster's programs individually had a share of more than 5 percent in the total broadcast program. Most of them had negligible representation, and some of these genres (scientific-educational and cultural-artistic) were not even broadcast on RTV Pink and TV Prva.
Broadcasters committed the most violations of the Advertising Act in connection with marking and duration of advertising messages and TV sales.
RTV Pink had the most violations of the Advertising Act - a total of 1340, followed by Happy TV 957, TV B92 798, Happy kids TV 450 and TV Prva 204 irregularities.
RTV Pink broadcast the most advertising content (16,29 percent), and Happy Kids TV is the only broadcaster that showed more TV sales than advertisements on its program.
RTV Pink is the broadcaster that has by far the most reality programs, which is added to the entertainment program in this table in order to standardize the criteria for the three-year analysis of the representation of program content. This genre accounts for almost a third of the total broadcast time and includes twenty shows of this format.
Due to the choice of topics and contents that are forced in certain shows, the TV Pink program was often controversial and the Republic Broadcasting Agency was sent a large number of petitions and complaints from viewers about those contents. Apart from these contents, which were the subject of court disputes due to the violation of professional standards and ethical norms, their production quality is also debatable. The already traditional format of this television "Farm" was broadcast in the fourth and fifth seasons during 2013, lasting seven and a half months. In relation to the 112 days that RTV Pink broadcasted reality programs, "Farm" had a participation of almost 64 percent (71.08:02:26), that is, more than 19 percent in the total broadcast program of this broadcaster!
In "Farma 4", which was broadcast from March 19 to July 7, 2013, inappropriate content was a frequent occurrence, and only a day after the start of the show, one of the participants stated that he had a relationship with a minor, which caused the public, RRA to react and the Prosecutor's Office of the Republic of Serbia. In the continuation of the series, inappropriate content such as offensive speech, extremism, physical confrontations, depictions of smoking and alcohol consumption, and depictions of sex scenes were broadcast daily. The broadcaster itself encouraged an inappropriate atmosphere by showing controversial content in editorially edited and edited shows, and often these content were part of promotional specials that were broadcast throughout the day, as a result of which the provision on the recommended age was also violated.
Similar situations also occurred during the broadcast of the "Farm 5" series starting on September 1, and the verbal clashes culminated in the disqualification of one of the participants due to insults on a national basis and inciting discrimination against a person or a group of persons due to belonging or not belonging to a nation or ethnic group. , which is why the RRA Council also reacted.
The most negative reactions were caused by the independently produced show "Adulterers", broadcast in the first half of 2013 on weekdays from 17 p.m. The broadcast date and the content of the show were the reason for many viewers to turn to the RBA with requests and even pleas to cancel this show, or at least move its schedule to late night hours. The main content of the show was adultery and provoking the lowest human motivations, on the basis of which the plots of each individual episode were built. The authors of the show used extremely obscure methods to encourage sensationalism, so some episodes presented situations in which the plot was built around: an incestuous relationship between an uncle and an underage niece; the incestuous relationship between a father and a daughter who engage in group sex and in which she became pregnant; adultery and rape of a minor; living over elderly immobile persons and numerous other topics that directly promoted destructive and vulgar behavior without moral instruction. This kind of presentation of unacceptable scenes, placed at a time when even minors could see them, represented a potential model for repetition, that is, for imitation. In the shows of the "Adulterers" series, every day, without exception, scenes of violence, physical confrontations followed by verbal outbursts, insults and curses were broadcast, and a large percentage of the shows contained scenes that clearly allude to sexual relations. Because of all this, the Council of the RRA ordered TV Pink to move the broadcast of "Adulterer" to the time slot after midnight, because the content is not for viewers under the age of eighteen, and the broadcaster stopped showing this format soon after.
Another reality series, controversial due to its content and rerun time (morning hours) is "The Moment of Truth". This show and previous seasons provoked reactions from the public and was the reason for filing complaints against the broadcaster. The concept of the show involves contestants whose goal is to win as much money as possible by answering more and more uncomfortable and intimate questions. The questions were mostly related to sexual life, but there were also those that encourage the incitement of hatred and intolerance. Viewers had the most objections to the shows because of questions like: "Did you agree to have sex with your uncle yourself?", "Have you ever asked one of your customers to give you oral pleasure?", "Would you like your neighbor dies?", "Do you think you deserved the beatings you received from your husband?", "Do you feel helpless that for 20 years you have not been able to exorcise the story of your daughter's death" and the like.
The second in terms of representation is the informative program, which achieves a participation of more than 17 percent. The morning program "Good Morning" makes up almost 61 percent of the total broadcast information program. This show is collage type and airs daily. In addition to topicality, this program is also characterized by the presence of entertainment content, especially in the weekend shows. In addition to daily and news programs ("Nacionalni dnevnik", "Jutarnji dnevnik" and "Vesti"), the programs "Crna hronica" and "Teška reč" are broadcast as part of the news program.
The regular specialized show about crime and police work, "Crna Hornika", is characterized by an emphasized dramatization of the program, with the intention of portraying individual cases as believably as possible. Given the subject matter, the show was marked with the age warning number "18+", but occasionally footage from police investigations was shown in which there were close-ups of corpses of victims of traffic accidents, murders, etc. which, from the aspect of the Broadcaster's Code of Conduct, is problematic not only because of reruns in the context of the protection of children and youth, but also because of the special protection of victims of violence and disasters and their families.
The political show in the form of an interview "Teška reč" has been more established in the program schedule since autumn and is broadcast mostly once a week, dealing with current political events. In June and July, as part of the programs "Vesti" and "Nacionalni dnevnik", RTV Pink broadcast program contents in which there was an illegal display of unilateral attacks on the personality and the running of a long-term campaign in relation to certain personalities, i.e. on whose choice of topics and manner its presentation was discriminatoryly influenced by the editor's personal belief and opinion. Because of this, the RBA Council issued a warning measure to the broadcaster.
The entertainment program is a genre that RTV Pink has been promoting since its foundation, so in the observed period, 16 shows of this type were broadcast, which together made up 11,65 percent of the total broadcast program. As part of the entertainment program, thematically diverse shows such as the already recognizable shows "Grand productions", musical entertainment shows "Weekendvizija" and "Sunday afternoon with Leo Kish", contact shows "Tačno u podne", talk shows "Magazin In", "Amji Show", "Ja to tako" and "Good evening, Serbia". As part of the entertainment program, RTV Pink broadcast controversial content - the quiz "Serbia's Fastest Player" aired from the end of July to the end of December, with which this content achieved the highest participation in this genre, more than 11 percent.
This quiz was presented as an interactive quiz in which knowledge from different fields is important, but already after a few broadcasts, it caused numerous objections from viewers who claimed that it was a fraudulent quiz. Namely, the method of inclusion of viewers who were deliberately left waiting on the phone line for a long time, the call tariff itself, and the rules for participating in this quiz were not broadcast on the first days. The RBA Council forwarded this case to the competent authorities. The biggest drop in participation in the total broadcast time was the serial program, by 7,25 percent. As part of its series program, RTV Pink broadcasts mostly series of foreign productions, the most numerous of which are Indian and Latin American, but there are also American productions, such as the popular series "Doctor House". More than a third of the total series program (36 percent) consists of the series "The Little Bride", which has been broadcast for several seasons in this volume on the broadcaster's program. In 2013, RTV Pink started broadcasting the domestic series "Zvezdara", realized in its own production.
Serial programs were mostly broadcast as premieres - 84,27 percent. The film program is also one of the genres that, compared to the previous period, in 2013 has a lower representation in the total broadcast program (13,38 percent). More than half of the film program consisted of reruns, among which more than 80 percent were films of foreign production.
Most of the broadcasted films were marked as not recommended for ages under 15 - 41,46 percent, 12 percent of films not for under 31,95s were shown, and on TV Pink almost a quarter of the broadcasted film program was not suitable for ages below 18 years - 23,83 percent. The least number of films that were recommended for all ages were broadcast, only 2,75 percent.
The scientific-educational and cultural-artistic program was not shown on RTV Pink during the observed period, while the children's program was broadcast for only nine hours and thirteen minutes throughout the year and thus achieved a share of 0,11 percent. The documentary program was also broadcast in a percentage that is at the level of statistical error (0,19 percent), i.e. only 16 hours per year, and it consisted of only one show of independent production - "Pictures of Life". The music program achieved twice as little participation compared to last year, with a representation of 1,95 percent in the total broadcast program. Within this genre, shows that follow the folk and folk music scene were broadcast.
Republic Broadcasting Agency, Broadcaster Program Monitoring and Analysis Service, Report on Commercial Broadcasters
***
The news program remained the most represented content on TV B92. After the downward trend of participation in the total broadcast time in the previous two years, in 2013 this genre recorded a slight growth of 3 percent, continuing to be a feature of the broadcaster, both in terms of variety and approach to topics.
Out of 22,81 percent of the broadcast news programs, 8,35 percent were "News" shows, which are shown four times a day, mostly in daily form. The most current events are presented in the form of reports and articles, and the broadcaster emphasizes on-the-spot journalistic involvement, analytical and critical approach to social phenomena. As part of the regular news program, during the observed period, the half-hour show "The Index Finger" was broadcast on weekdays, in the form of interviews on current topics from social and political life. Two recognizable dialogue shows, with a similar thematic framework - "I want to know" and "Between two fires" stopped being broadcast in the middle of the year. At the beginning of autumn, after a one-year hiatus, the broadcaster resumed showing the show "Insider", the series "Energy (dis)agreement". This series, behind which there is a great research work, dealt with the consequences of the energy agreement between Serbia and Russia. And this time, the data presented in the show had a great resonance, both among the public and among the actors of the political scene in Serbia. Among the shows of the regular news program established in the programming scheme is the debate "Impression of the Week".
Part of the informative program consists of broadcasts taken from the Info B92 channel, which are broadcast daily in the night and early morning hours.
Among them, there are mostly shows of foreign production, from the informative show that deals with current world events - "Voice of America", to magazine-type shows that focus on political events in Europe and interesting things from various fields: "On Task" and "European Journal". .
In a smaller percentage, there are also specialized information shows of independent production: "Guide for parents", "Auto" and "Wine and viticulture".
In the race for viewership, the programming orientation of TV B92, which in the earlier period was focused on serious content, underwent certain changes, so the participation of entertainment content is greater from season to season. The commercialization of the program had the effect that, compared to 2010,
the percentage of participation in entertainment content is almost twice as high, and for the same reason new shows were introduced within this genre. These shows also included reality shows, which began to be recorded as a separate type of genre in 2013. In the same year reality TV
programs were more prevalent than entertainment shows, and the independent production series "Veliki Brat" dominated among them. Within this genre, three more shows of foreign production were broadcast: "Home, Sweet Home", "Kardashian Family" and "Hidden Camera". In 2013, TV B92 enriched its entertainment program with three new formats: "Exercise", "Bulevar" and "24 minutes". The show "Strengthening" started broadcasting in April 2013 and was broadcast on weekends, and it is a half-hour entertaining show in which authors and guests comment on videos taken from social networks. The pop culture magazine "Bulevar B92" has been broadcast on weekdays since autumn, and its content represents an attempt to introduce a new TV genre known as infotainment. The varied thematic program of this show includes events from the domestic and foreign public scene, current gossip, curiosities, etc. In the new season, the entertainment show "24 hours" was introduced, which is a kind of political satire based on similar foreign formats. The show caricatures events and actors on the domestic political scene, and tries to present the background of the news in a humorous way.
Compared to 2012, the broadcaster increased the participation of documentary programs by two and a half times, the cultural-artistic genre was three times more, and the representation of scientific-educational programs was also greater. However, the participation of these programs was extremely small or at the level of statistical error, and this increase is not significantly felt in the overall program, and these three genres are represented in twice the percentage compared to the percentage of participation of reality and entertainment programs. In addition, more than 90 percent of the total broadcast documentary programs were reruns, and the most broadcast among them were the series: "BGD 92: stories about Belgrade", "SFRJ for beginners", "Live in Belgrade". As part of the scientific and educational program, there were almost 50 percent of reruns, and of the total broadcast content, more than half were medical educational shows. The shows of the scientific and educational program were mostly realized in independent or foreign production, while only one show "Secret Science" was produced in-house.
The cultural and artistic program was fully realized in an independent production, consisting of two shows "Dvougao ex libris" and "Interakcija". And within this genre, reruns prevailed, which were represented by 90 percent of the total broadcast cultural and artistic program.
The share of film and series programs in 2013 was lower by several percent compared to 2012. More than 60 percent of the serial program consisted of reruns, over 95 percent of this genre was foreign, and only 5 percent of its own production. Within the serial program, a significant percentage of TV sitcoms of foreign production were shown, which are characterized by humorous themes and a high production level of realization.
Within the film program, 97 percent are films of foreign production, while reruns of films represent 76 percent of the total broadcast program of this type. Within this genre, the least amount of content marked as suitable for all ages was broadcast, only 0,36 percent. TV B92 broadcast the most films marked as unsuitable for under 16s - 36,12 percent, followed by those marked as not for under 14s - 27,76 percent. This broadcaster is the only one that uses the marking for age inappropriate for under 17s (12,71 percent), films that can generally be considered acceptable for a later evening slot (but still contain scenes of violence, sex, etc.). In this way, it is probably trying to avoid committing a violation of the General Binding Instruction on the Conduct of Broadcasters in connection with the broadcast of program contents that may harm the physical, mental or moral development of minors, while at the same time broadcasting films in a more popular time slot, instead of in the period from midnight to six hours in the morning.
The children's program on TV B92 consists only of animated films of foreign production: "SpongeBob SquarePants", "Smurfs", "Penguins from Madagascar and others". Reruns of children's programs are represented by 21 percent of the total broadcast programs of this genre.
Compared to the previous year, the number of sports programs and broadcasts was 2 percent lower. As part of the sports program, one regular show "Sportski pregled" was broadcast, while the most common tennis tournaments, basketball and water polo matches and one boxing tournament were broadcast.
