Slobodan Georgijev pointed out that the audio recording of the conversation between Telekom director Vladimir Lucic and United group general manager Stan Miller showed that the regime managed to somehow corrupt or blackmail some people from the management of United media.
"That conversation shows a completely unnatural relationship between two individuals and two companies. We see a subordinate relationship between a man, this Dutchman, who runs a larger company, because United group is an international company, and this broker of ours, Lučić, Vučić's avatar, who somehow overhears him," said Georgijev.

He added that the conversation shows Vučić's intention "to literally shut down" the N1 and Nova S televisions, "and then further in order".
Georgijev assessed that Lučić is "connected with the local Udba" and stated that he is an electrical technician, as is BIA director Vladimir Orlić.
He added that he could imagine the two sitting in a special room at the BIA and analyzing whether the footage was the work of artificial intelligence.
"Of course, that conversation took place, as well as many other conversations and meetings between them. For those people who work at United Media, it's not good because you see someone preparing a guillotine for you, but it's not the first or last time that someone wants to destroy a media outlet. The problem here is that these are the only two television stations that try to report professionally on what's happening in Serbia and that's recognized by the people. You can see how many people watch it and how much it means to them, and I can't imagine a situation where even "Vučić, as he is, mad, dares to go all the way," Georgijev said.
He expects that the release of the recording of the conversation will have some effect.
"To stop that cunning plan of theirs, as Baldrick would have said in 'The Black Adder', and let's try to work in the best possible way," Georgiev said.
The scandal goes beyond the borders of Serbia
Željko Bodrožić said that the conversation between Lučić and Miller for the first time "shows in black and white how the regime talks to people, both politicians and businessmen."
"For a long time, we had a well-founded suspicion that there were deals and corruption, but now there is a factual report, a phone report. I expect an alarm in Europe now, because it goes beyond the borders of our country. We will send a letter to our partners, the European Federation of Journalists, so that they also announce themselves," said Bodrožić.
He reminded that the day before the recording of the conversation was published, Lučić was on TV Informer "preventively".
"That's when he grinned and sneered really rudely, saying that those media (N1 and Nova S) will finally be independent, as independent from Šolak," said Bodrožić.
He also pointed out that Vučić stated that changes will happen in November, but that Vučić seems to be "pressing for it to happen already in the summer, because he is in a panic."
"The people poured into the streets and they don't leave the streets, and these media (N1 and Nova S) are more and more watched and read, and he (Vučić) knows that better than all of us," concluded Bodrožić.
