In the latest independent benchmarking of network quality conducted by the umlaut organization, Yettel has reconfirmed the quality of its services - twice.
The operator won the award for the best for the ninth time mobile network in Serbia, as well as for the best home internet, for the second time in a row.
Testing of the mobile network was carried out in the so-called with the "crowdsourcing" methodology, which measures the experience of using services on more than 80 million samples.
Between October 2024 and March 2025, Yettel achieved the highest measurement results in key categories for both areas – including mobile internet coverage and home stability.
"The network is one of the basic reasons why users choose us and show their trust. For us, the year 2025 is definitely a year of development. Users are already seeing the benefits of the recent acquisition of SBB by our group, and we are just preparing new offers and content. In order to do that, we need high-quality, secure and reliable mobile and fixed networks, and this is a priority from which we will not deviate," Mike Michel, CEO of Yettel, said on this occasion.
Cooperation with the Mountain Service
Yettel also extended its strategic partnership with the Mountain Rescue Service of Serbia for the next three years. At the event in Belgrade, the cooperation agreement was signed by Mike Michel, general manager of Yetttel, and Marko Čalija, director of GSS.
Also present were rescuers who, in their daily actions, rely on a stable and available mobile signal - often in situations that literally mean the difference between life and death.
"For us, the extension of the contract for another three years means security and continuity in improvement so that we are even more ready to respond to every call for help. During the previous period, our cooperation with Yettel was first of all friendly, and only then partnered because we share the same values and have the same goal_",_ said Čalija.
The cooperation between Yettel and GSS is not only formal - it is a partnership that is built on the ground, in real situations, where the speed of reaction and the availability of the network can be crucial.
During the previous years, with joint activities Yettel and GSS pointed out the importance of safe communication in mountains, remote places and outside urban areas, showing how technology can be an ally even in the most challenging conditions.
"Our network doesn't just connect devices – it connects people and provides a sense of security and trust. That's why partnering with GSS is a natural fit for us. It's part of our vision to keep our users safe, both in the digital and real world," adds Michel.
