Singer Jelena Karleusa did not hold a concert in To the Lucans, which was scheduled for 20:00 in front of the House of Culture in the center of the town, writes the "Ozonpress" portal.
A few hours before the announced start, citizens protesting her performance began to gather. According to Ozonpress, the concert was supposed to be financed by a local company, and its value was around 30.000 euros.
The crowd chanted "Pump, pump" and slogans against Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić.
The police were present in larger numbers, but did not intervene. Karleuša, after spending about an hour and a half in the space intended for the concert, left the location and the performance was cancelled.
This is the second time that Jelena Karleuša's concert in Lucani has been cancelled. The first performance was planned for August 29, and according to earlier media reports, the Cultural Center was supposed to pay for it with 35.000 euros. After public reactions, the concert was canceled, only to be rescheduled for September 20.
According to available reports, there were only about twenty people in the fenced area intended for the concert.
