Number woman which deal with by taking photos at protests across Serbia in the last few months has grown considerably, and their work brings a new dynamic and sensibility in documenting mass gatherings. While until a few years ago, marches and demonstrations were mostly recorded through the lenses of male colleagues, today we increasingly see ladies with cameras on the front lines - from Belgrade and Novi Sad, through Nis, to smaller towns.
Marija Janković, photo editor in the weekly "Vreme", is the author of a video that deals with this phenomenon and directly promotes the presence of female student photo reporters at events throughout Serbia.
"That was my idea, because when I started there were very few women who were engaged in this business. Now the situation is completely different, and there are a lot of girls who are engaged in photography. Female students are very active, and I see more and more of them on the streets. That's why I decided to make and dedicate this video to them," Janković pointed out.
