European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN), one of the most important scientific research institutions in the world, signed the Agreement on participation in a specialized exhibition Expo 2027 in Belgrade, where it will have its own exhibition space.
The contract was signed by the Minister of Internal and Foreign Trade of Serbia and the Commissioner for Expo 2027 Belgrade Jagoda Lazarevic, the director of the company "EXPO 2027" doo Belgrade Danilo Jeriniฤ and the commissioner of the section of the European Organization for Nuclear Research for Expo 2027 Belgrade Ursula Basler.
CERN's participation in the Expo is a "great recognition" for Serbia
Lazarevic pointed out that the participation CERN-a great recognition for Serbia and confirmation of the importance of the specialized exhibition Expo 2027 Belgrade.
She said that the CERN pavilion will allow millions of visitors to discover the world of modern science in an affordable way and understand how important scientific discoveries are for the future of humanity.
Ursula Basler said that it is a special pleasure for the organization she represents to participate for the first time in an Expo exhibition as an official participant. The CERN installation will bring complex scientific topics closer to a wide audience and show how international cooperation, knowledge and joint work contribute to the development of humanity.
