Vlada Divljan, a musician who died in 2015 at the age of 67, will receive a bust on May 16, 2025 in Zagreb.
The sculpture in memory of the great musical genius was made by the academic sculptor and famous drummer Boris Leiner, and it will be placed among the busts of musical greats from Branimir Štulic and Dina Dvornik to the Ramones, Jack White, David Bowie, Patti Smith and many others.
In 2017, a commemorative plaque dedicated to Vlada Divljan was installed in the City Theater in Bečej, and a cultural center is named after him in Belgrade.
Concerts in honor of Divljan
One of the best musicians in this area, the legendary Vlada Divljan, died on March 4, 2015.
Ten years later, on his birthday, May 10, a concert titled "I have only one love" will be held in Belgrade.
It will be the first of two announced concerts, and the second will be held a day later on May 11.
Vlad's band Nevladina Organizacija, which consists of his longtime friends and collaborators Zdenko Kolar, Saša Šandorov, Boris Bunjac and Marko Milivojević, will perform with Damjan Dašić and Marko Ćalić, with whom they will perform Vlad's timeless hits from all periods of his career.
The concerts will be held in the MTS hall, starting at 20 p.m.
The day after the bust was placed in Zagreb, a concert in honor of Divljan will also be held in that city at the Culture Factory.
The "Non-Governmental Organization" will be joined on stage by Vlada's longtime friends and collaborators Zdenko Kolar and Maks Juričić, as well as Vlada Divljan's wife, Dina Đurović.
Konstrakt, Jurij Kuzma Novoselic and Janko Novoselic are also coming to Tvornica kulture. The repertoire will include the most beautiful songs and big hits from Divljan's authentic catalog - from the era of Idol, Summer Cinema and Old Stars Band, through the Non-Governmental Organization, to his solo works.
