In Leskovac, on International Festival of Film Directing (LIFFE) 12 regional films and four series will be shown.
The festival starts tomorrow, September 15, and will last for four days.
The main program
The main competition program, selected by screenwriter and director Ognjen Sviličić, brings seven productions from the region. The festival opens at the National Theater "South Florida" Vladimir Tagić, and the competition includes "DJ Ahmet" by Georgi M. Unkovski, "Južina" by Anto Marin, "Obraz" by Nikola Vukčević, "Gym" by Srđan Vuletić, "White washes at ninety" by Marko Neberšnik and "How it's so green here" by Nikola Ležaić.
"This LIFFE selection is a continuation of our journey and task of bringing films from the region of the former Yugoslavia closer to the audience," said selector Ognjen Sbiličić.
"This time I wanted to choose films that really communicate with the audience, because the impression is that European film is increasingly moving away from that audience and neglecting it. We have a choice of the most watched Slovenian film, emotional journeys through one's own past through films by Serbian authors, a beautiful Mediterranean Croatian veduta, a strong Montenegrin drama, a Macedonian festival hit and a Bosnian pearl of dark humor. I sincerely hope that each of these films will be attractive in its own way to the local audience, which is why this festival exists and is successful is growing," said Sviličić.
In addition to this main competition program, the festival also features a selection of debut productions with five films and a revue serial program in which there are new episodes of four regional series.

On the last day of the festival, the award "Goran Paskaljević's impression" will be awarded to director Ivana Mladenović.
