Saturday at the Book Fair in Belgrade, now and then
The halls of the Belgrade Fair are empty, even though the Book Fair is under them and even though it is Saturday, the day of the largest number of visitors

The Serbian National Theater denies the allegations published on October 2, 2025, emphasizing that Nataša Tasić Knežević was not the cause of the cancellation of the start of the season
After checking the above information in the text published on October 2, 2025 under the title "Due to the baseless accusation of Nataša Tasić, the start of the season was cancelled
SNP", we have determined that certain statements are incorrect and therefore publish the following denials, reports the Serbian National Theatre:
Mrs. Nataša Tasić Knežević was never a member of the Serbian Progressive Party. In one period, she served as a member of parliament on the list of that party; it is today
city councilor. She did not file a criminal complaint against Bojan Glušica. The application was submitted by Srđan Šajin, on behalf of the Roma Party, after they appeared in public
information about the offense.
It is incorrect that Bojan Glušica was "detained". He, like Nataša Tasić Knežević, was invited to make a statement as a citizen. It is a common procedure, not a measure
deprivation of liberty. Based on the wrong information that he was "detained", the dress rehearsal was interrupted, so the conductor refused to conduct the performance without her. That's why opera
"Ero s onoga svijeta" was not performed - not because of the alleged actions of Nataša Tasić Knežević.
We also deny the claim that the start of the SNP season was canceled because that is not true. The season opened properly: on September 13 with a gala concert of the SNP Opera, on September 26 with the premiere of the ballet performance "Good Vibrations", on September 30 with the performance of the opera performance "La Traviata", on October 1 with the premiere of the drama performance "Mrs. Nola".
The claim that Nataša Tasić Knežević caused the cancellation of the season of the Serbian National Theater with an "unfounded accusation" is untrue, misleading the public and
damages her professional and personal reputation.
In accordance with the Law on Public Information and Media, we publish this denial in its entirety and in the same place where the disputed text was published.
In the end, we add that "Vreme" will follow the mentioned case and inform the readers about all new facts in a timely manner.

The results of the competition for cultural programs at the Expo 2027 exhibition lead to the conclusion that the selected and very expensively paid projects missed the point, and that the only thing that matters is that there should be something at the Expo that the organizers will call culture

More than 20 festivals were not held last year and this year, the FCS has not announced competitions for two years, the Ministry of Culture rejects projects of art associations, the removal of successful directors and the appointment of people who do not promise... all this is evidence that we are living a culture of destruction, according to the research of the Center for Cultural Studies

In the Viennese auction house Doroteum, a painting by the Croatian author Vlaho Bukovac was sold for half a million euros, it will soon be exhibited in Zagreb, and the public there does not know the name of the buyer

The play "Professional" is performed for the 50th time. "It is incredible that in forty years - since writing about the then government and communism, little has changed," says its author, Dušan Kovačević.
