The culture of memory should exist, but it should not be used by both sides as a source of a new growing nationalism, which is nothing but the birth of hatred towards the other. There is little room left for love. When you pour salt on that wound every year, that wound opens up more and more. I repeat, there was a time in both Croatia and Serbia when the people who make the decisions tried to somehow make that life next to each other possible. Now it seems completely irrational, hopeless. The war is not over
