On the website The Ministry of Culture of Serbia has 26 competitionsand for financing and co-financing cultural projects.
Of all of them, the results were not published only for competition of cultural projects within the Expo and it is expected until September 10, then for amateur creativity, although the 60-day deadline has expired, as well as for the cultural centers in Paris and Beijing, and for the Competition for the purchase of publications for libraries, which is still open.
At the beginning of August, the results of ten competitions were announced, the most so far, and all of them within the deadline set by law.
Ten competitions
They are: Serbian in focus, the competition was open until October 15, and now the considered applications have arrived until August 5, 128 of them, for which the Ministry of Culture of Serbia has allocated 28.120.000,00 dinars.
Then: Competition in the field of protection of old traditional crafts (budget is 20.550.000.00 dinars), Competition in the field of protection of movable intangible cultural heritage (31.305.000,00 dinars), Competition for periodical manifestations (10.600.000,00 dinars), Competition for capital works in literature which will be remembered because the Serbian Literary Cooperative (27.370.000,00), Competition for manifestations and awards in the field of literature (16.250.000,00 dinars), Competition for translating representative works of Serbian literature abroad (50.560.000,00), Competition for theater activities (33.900.000,00 dinars), Competition for film art was rejected (45.100.000,00) and Competition for the digitization of contemporary creativity (8.342.000,00 dinars).
Everything is the same as before.
Based on a cursory review of each of these ten results, it is possible to conclude that the highest premiums were received by the same ones to whom the Ministry of Culture normally gives them, as if the list of chosen ones is dominated by unknown names and titles, while the reverse is the case in the list of rejected ones.
For Željko Mitrović and Lazar Ristovski
Lazar Ristovski's film festival "Ravno selo" received five million dinars, the same amount as Film script festival in Vrnjačka Banja which is almost better known as the Željko Mitrović festival, which is one and a half million dinars more than what the state allocated for the Palić European Film Festival.
The festival received 12 million, which is the highest amount of the Competition for a film. It is of course a good decision, because it could have been different - it will be seen later in the text on the example of Bitef.
The Children's Film Festival, the European Film Festival for Children and Youth, the March Festival, the Author's Film Festival, the Free Zone, Beldox, the Balkan Festival of Film Directing, Nišville Film Festival.

Just a few more details from the Theater Competition.
The following were rejected: Sterija Theater, Bitef Festival, Serbian National Theater, Youth Theater Novi Sad, Sombor Theater, "Toša Jovanović" Zrenjanin, "Deže Kostolanji" Subotica, Belgrade Drama Theater, Malo Theater "Duško Radović", Theater "Boško Buha", UDUS for a dozen projects and for the awards "Dobričin prsten", "Bojan Stupica", "Ljubinka Bobić" and "Miloš Žutić". Association Asitež Serbia for children's festival, PAN theater, DAH theater, PATOS Theater, Madlenianum for four projects... 126 of them.
But that's why the Ministry of Culture thought that it should reward Bitef Theater with two million for the performance "Gospel of Jesus Christ", the Interdistrict Review of amateur theaters of Southeastern Serbia, even though there is a competition for amateur creativity.
Excuse for Bitef?
Then: Association Blagoslov will receive 900.000 dinars for the vaudeville "Pesničenje - pub table with two Russian and two Serbian Jesenjinas", Association "Nota, pero, USB" from Belgrade for vaudeville "Voljelo se dvoje mladih" 800.000 dinars.
The Center for Multimedia Art and Communication Tangram (which received 1,600.000 dinars a few days earlier at the Competition for Music Activities for the projects "The End of My Sorrow", a concert in memory of Beti Đorđević and "Evergreen Fest"), Produkcija Plavi Salon will receive 800.000 dinars for two projects, Agora Novi Sad, otherwise a publishing house, will receive half a million dinars for "What do you remember when you no longer exist", one million dinars will be awarded to "Beo art" for the play "To the Other Shore", and Miko production of half a million for "The Real Reason". And so on.
It is very transparent why those who received the money received it, and why the others did not.
It is not clear why the Bitef festival was rejected. Will this contest be a reason/justification for the founder's decision not to hold Bitef this year? Somehow, the justification that the budget was small sounds better than to say that Bitef is being canceled because five out of seven performances were cancelled. We'll see.
