"The Light of Logos" is an exhibition of icons in the Gallery of the Kolarc Endowment in Belgrade. The exhibition is international and juried, and it features 125 icons by 97 artists from 12 countries. The organizer of the exhibition is the Kaleidoscope Cultural Center and the sponsor is UNESCO. It is open until September 11.

Luka Novaković, Christ the one who was, is and is coming
The opening, despite the surrounding noise and the torn-up area in front of the Gallery due to works on Student Square, was extremely festive. The exhibition was opened by Patriarch Porphyry.
In addition to domestic authors, the works of creators from Greece, USA, Cuba, Romania, Bulgaria, Italy, Belarus, Republika Srpska, Germany, Latvia and the Philippines are exhibited.

The Virgin, Grigorij Popescu-Muščel
The works of the Romanian artist Grigori Popescu-Muscelo (79), who is considered the greatest living sacred artist in the world, were also presented. His works are in more than 50 churches across Europe, and they are recognizable by the combination of Byzantine tradition and spiritual searches of modern man, the organizers pointed out. Popescu calls them his "gift to God", while art historians point out his recognizable "elongated, graceful and elegant" saintly figures.
Golden Eagle - Saint John the Evangelist in gold, Todor Lepčević The organizers highlight another icon painter of world renown, Professor Dr. Giorgos Kordis from Greece, and Popescu's colleagues from Romania, Professors Dr. Mihai Koman and Dr. Andreja Mushat, as well as the great names of domestic contemporary sacred art Vladimir Bata Kidišević and Prof. Dr. Todor Mitrović.

Dr. Todor Mitrović and MA Luka Novaković, to paint icons live for two days. The works from this master class will be exhibited in the Kolarc Endowment Gallery from Friday, August 29, and will then become part of the legacy of the Kaleidoscope Cultural Center.

The second master class, The Art of Gilding: Tradition and Innovation, will be held by artistic goldsmith and painter Todor Lepčević.
The author's concept of the "Light of the Logos" exhibition is signed by Luka Novaković, painter-conservator and doctoral student at the University of Belgrade on multidisciplinary academic doctoral studies in the field of history and philosophy of natural sciences and technology, while the curatorial exhibition was designed by art historian Vera Vitorović.
