Put simply, the performative travelogue of "Hammam Internationala - under the domes" is a search for forgotten or suppressed narratives of community.
Hammam, a bathing place in the Middle East in the Middle Ages, we probably imagine it as depicted by Bora Stanković in Of impure blood, in the scene of Sofka's bathing. Now there are hammams or ruins or cafes and casinos.
Director Bojan Đorđev and visual artist Siniša Ilić followed the remains of Turkish hammams from Debra, Skopje, Tetovo, Prizren, Peja, Priština, Mostar, Stolac, Sarajevo, to Vranje, Niš, Novi Pazar and Belgrade, and came up with a performative travelogue that they will present at the Center for Cultural Decontamination in Belgrade on May 30 from 17 to 19 p.m.
Under the domes of the hammam, where privacy and public touch through steam and moisture, social layers, religions and everyday politics intertwine, forming informal spaces of dialogue and city life - water agoras of bodies and communities. Today, the ruins of the hammam leave gaps where social life once pulsated - they wrote in the announcement.

They explain that in their performance, the dome they mention in the title, as a materialization of the firmament, signifies a public space, a place of meeting, care and collective experience.
On that track, a collective performance of the construction of the dome will be held, which will symbolically restore the space of encounter and care. With this gesture, the participants reconfigure the idea of the hammam as a place of social imagination, in which the relationship between architecture, body and community is re-choreographed as an open framework of collective experience.
