Another no:Bitef was announced. It will last from 12:00 to 18:00 on September 20 at 60 locations, micro-scenes throughout Belgrade, to mark the fact that the Bitef festival was created 60 years ago. The slogan is "Bitef is where we gather".
Like last year, this one is also organized by Bitef a team consisting of Miloš Lolić and Borisav Matić, Ana Vujanović, Jelena Knežević and all others who made Belgrade visible Pelico Process Milo Rau and other performances proposed for last year's Bitef, but the Bitef Board did not like that proposal, so the 59th edition of this festival did not take place.
An act of civil disobedience
Ne:Bitef was created as a reaction to those circumstances. It turned out that ne:Bitef, which they organized in December, revived the avant-garde spirit of the Bitef festival and made it present to the public as it had not been for years.

The program of the second no:Bitefa and its guests will be known in a few days, the organizers announce.
For now, they announce that no: Bitef continues this year as a joint, rebellious and libertarian act of civil disobedience and creativity, like the Republic of Užice while culture is under occupation.
They also reveal that each of the 60 micro-scenes will be curated by a local cultural worker, nominated by the community, who will present on their stage an artist, collective or work that has marked the 60-year history of Bitef.
The presentations will be in the form of performances, exhibitions, workshops, discussions about the plays and socializing with artists and cultural workers, and will be held at numerous addresses outside the institutional theater system - in independent social and cultural centers, bookstores, cafes, pastry shops, apartments and other spaces of freedom, it was announced in the announcement.
Admission is free
The map and timetable of the festival will be published on the festival website, so the audience will be able to independently create their own "Bitefo" walk through Belgrade, to choose which micro-scenes they will visit, how long they will stay there and at what pace they will move between them.
From 19:00, all participants and the audience will gather in the Center for Cultural Decontamination, where the final part of the program will turn into a common space for meeting, talking and artistic activity.

Through performance and conversation, with the participation of domestic and international artists and other actors who have been associated with Bitef over the decades, space will be opened to reflect on its legacy, but also on its possible future path. The evening will be dedicated to resistance and solidarity - values that remain the foundation of a living, open and free theater.
Entrance to not all events is free.

On Sunday, September 20, when ne:Bitef will be held, it will be the last day of the 59th Bitef festival.
