Photo: ScreenshotIn the banner with the inscription quoted above at the water polo match between Red Star and Šabac, the Higher Public Prosecutor's Office did not recognize the elements of national and religious intolerance. In the interpretation of the Prosecutor's Office, that comes to him, I guess, as a slightly more aggressive expression of some dislike, like "I don't like your hairstyle", and on that basis, "I don't like the Croatian origin" of the red and white coach Mirko Vičević, so we won't go with him. let's fraternize, and the meaning of which is actually unequivocal: the march from Zvezda to Croatian One
The inscription "Šiptar, Croat, Balija, are not my brothers" does not contain elements of the criminal offense of inciting national, racial and religious hatred and intolerance, the High Public Prosecutor's Office in Belgrade judged. On Sunday, at the water polo match Red Star - Sabac at the "Milan Gale Muškatirović" swimming pool, the star players developed a transparent message with this message, protesting, apparently, the Croatian origin of the Red Star water polo coach Mirko Vičević, who was born in Kotor. Vičević was a representative of Yugoslavia, the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia, Serbia and Montenegro and finally Montenegro. He never played for the Croatian national team.
It should also be said that CZ beat Šabac with a score of 13:6.
The Higher Public Prosecutor's Office in Belgrade states that the deputy on duty of the Higher Public Prosecutor's Office in Belgrade was informed about the event, who believed that the actions of the participants of the event could possibly contain elements of violation of the Law on Public Order and Peace.
"Taking into account that in this specific case, an illegal act could have been committed in a public place that endangers or disrupts public order and peace, creates anxiety or endangers the safety of citizens, hinders the movement of citizens in public places or the exercise of their rights and freedoms, offends morals and endangers the general security of property, the Prosecutor's Office believes that the actions of the person who displayed the banner may have contained elements of an offense against public order and peace, which is why the deputy public prosecutor on duty sent the police to consult with the on-duty judge of the Misdemeanor court," the statement of the Higher Public Prosecutor's Office in Belgrade points out. It is not known whether the police consulted further or not.
The fact is that the Delija group did not chant "Knife, wire, Srebrenica" or "Kill the Croats, that Šiptar has no brother", which, according to the criteria of the Higher Prosecutor's Office, would probably or might not be enough to prosecute the perpetrators in criminal proceedings for causing national and religious hatred. The banner "Shiptar, Croat, Balija, they are not my brothers" was obviously understood by the Prosecutor's Office as an expression of slightly more aggressive dislike, such as, for example, "I don't like your hairstyle" and that's why I won't hang out with you, so in that sense, then "no I like Shiptari, Croats and Balijes" and that's why I won't fraternize with them.
The prosecution did not take into account that those who developed the transparency chanted "Raaatko Mlaadić" in a chorus when arriving or leaving the pool with a very well-rehearsed choreography of rhythmic clapping of hands in the air. Or it did put the banner in the context of all those events and information, but it didn't see anything controversial there either. In 1995, in Srebrenica, Ratko Mladić issued an order to kill around 8000 captured "Bali", with whom the authors and bearers of the banner, among others, would not fraternize even today.
The message of the banner, which is probably only the duty deputy of the Higher Public Prosecutor's Office in Belgrade, was not clear: we don't want you in Zvezda because you are Croatian, that is. we will never accept you because you are Croatian, that is. we don't like Croats, i.e. march from Zvezda Ustašo one. Or it was clear to him, but he still considered that he was not ignoring the Law on the Prohibition of Inciting National, Racial and Religious Hatred and Discord, which states that "any incitement and incitement of racial, national, religious or other inequality, hatred is prohibited and punishable." and intolerance", which is outlined in the same words in the Constitution.
As a rule, Delijas do not attend "small sports", in such a large group they only come on "assignment". The message of the Higher Public Prosecutor's Office in Belgrade is that evident expressions of national and religious intolerance will not be prosecuted if they are packaged in a poetic form. At least when it comes to "fans" on assignment.
