It looked like this election campaign was going to be unusually tepid, not to mention boring. The videos were broadcast only by SNS and SPS, while the opposition manages to send a few messages in a few minutes, like when you part with your partner, and the night transport driver closes the back door out of spite. You say something, agree when you will see each other again. I did not manage to break through those editors, especially in the media with a national frequency or on RTS, who will murderously cut off the sentence of an opposition politician if it exceeds the allowed minute or two. Some subtitle, some speak quickly, but most do not manage to finish a thought, a cruel stopwatch will cut you like an axe. Otherwise, one might think that those few seconds will be interpreted as a bias of the public service.
However, the President does not have that problem. He will perhaps knock on your door and express in a contrite voice that he is "extraordinarily glad" to have stopped by your place. He'll bring cookies AV, wine AV, honey AV, probiotic AV, maybe ask if he can use your toilet, bring lighters, notebooks, like Santa Claus. People are really happy at his videos, and in the meantime, he will address Pink twice a day - in the morning at Jovana's, in the evening at Verica's - and he will disgust you with the opposition and all those who don't like him.
In the meantime, Ana Brnabić will do the same, while, for example, Minister Gašić will legitimately, although the police are at the service of all citizens, visit the local call center in Kruševac. Unfortunately, it is not the dispatcher of the police, for which he is responsible, but the SNS call center, where he will make a couple of calls. Madness, someone calls you on the landline, says: "Good afternoon, this is Bratislav Gašić" and everything is normal. Honestly, I don't know how to react. Maybe I would ask where he got my number, but what if he tells me he got it from the MUP. I wonder if someone hangs up on him, or, God forbid, insults him... That doesn't work, then the doorbell rings - not Vučić, who is "unusually happy", but the patrol, because you attacked a state institution called Gašić. Fucked up.
However, the campaign took a turn when it was determined that phantom voters appeared on the lists of verified signatures for the list. That's where the war between the opposition parties started, because it turned out that someone could misuse your signature and your personal documents. Also, the public learned about the possibility for the government to collect your signatures, if it is in their interest to have your list registered. In short, the trade, or more precisely, the manipulation of signatures, was discovered even before the election. We should be honest and say that even political parties are not able to control whether someone misuses them when collecting and verifying signatures, but the problem is relatively easy to solve, even in Montenegro there is an application that you can use to check whether someone has misused your signature. For now, you have to submit the application in person and wait who knows how long to find out if you've been cheated, but by then the elections will be over, and as the legendary Macedonian commercial says, there's no regrets after fucking!
Evidently, this campaign will be remembered for the fact that it became personal. He hits himself below the belt in the shin, with increasingly bizarre accusations. Prime Minister Brnabić has led the way to this day, because she accused Ćuta of smoking, showed the personal address of the opposition politician Miketić, and the coalition partner was not spared, so the SPS, i.e. its candidates like Braunović, were called out for orgies in some hotels. The president then knocked on the door of his opponents. The mechanism is cruelly applied, like the Monty Python skit in which, for example, you hint to Đorđe Miketić that "there are some recordings", or the President similarly warns Judge Majić that he knows "something" about "someone" from his environment.
Half a day later, the mentioned Mketić from the opposition receives a message with a photo of him with a lady and a lascivious-threatening message, where "mom" is mentioned. A year and a half ago, a man's computer and old phones were stolen when someone broke into his apartment. Since then, he has been waiting for this kind of blackmail, and here it is now, half a day after the President announced it to him on television. Believe me, the best remedy for such messages is to make them public at the same moment, publish them and thereby make the government and blackmailers sick and perverted voyeurs. It is not difficult to find out who could be behind such hogwash, because in this country for decades the Udba or the BIA have been dealing with the opposition, not real threats to the country and order.
Just as Gasić from the police will call you to vote, and the President will call you like in Monty Python, then the BIA will remind you what you did last summer, or some other summer or winter. It's not a bad thing to confess to yourself before the election, since your teenage days, because a joint at the academy will be a heavy drug addiction, speeding "running wild in the streets", a teenage fight will be described as "violent behavior", a photo from a masquerade ball or a party is a sign that you are a "maniac", a picture from the beach is pornography, maybe you are like a silent smoker, they will take pictures of your entrance, front door, they will find a neighbor who doesn't really like you so they will spit on you, or simply make up that you had sex with a vacuum cleaner or that you are in love with your ex-coalition partner's turkey.
This is where desperation breeds inspiration. Boža Spasić spoke openly on several occasions about such lies fabricated by the BIA for the government. Unfortunately, in this case, a line was crossed, not only in good taste, because the government uses the resources of the security services to deal with political dissidents. Unfortunately, in Serbia, we have seen where this can lead us, so it is urgently necessary for all those services to return to the legal framework. Until then, we'll be watching government-directed political pornography.
