Marx and Engels believed that after the death of the state, the management of public affairs would pass to the entire society. Vučić laughs in their faces. His concept is as follows: as soon as the Republic of Serbia is laid on the bier, he will unite the executive, legislative and judicial powers in his person. Approximately - like Stalin. This is called unity of power and allows Vučić to directly lead every organization in the country, including the agricultural cooperative in Sečnje.
Burek, wine and corona
What is the management capacity of the current head of state and the entire Ćaciland? The people are just looking at him and blowing hard. Namely, at the beginning of the year, Trump announced sanctions against NIS... But Vučić had a cunning geopolitical plan worthy of a team with beer in hand in front of a village store. Specifically - let's give son-in-law Kushner the General Staff to pressure his father-in-law to loosen up, the war in Ukraine is almost over, so Putin and Trump won't be fighting anymore, rivers of gasoline will flow from NIS, and cubic kilometers of gas from Russia...
Something went wrong though. For example, Putin limited the gas arrangement for Serbia until January 1, '26. With this, he threatened to open a potential crisis in gas supplies and made it impossible for Serbia to nationalize NIS. Then, despite the pressure, Trump remained adamant - the Russian owners must sell the refinery and other things that go with it only to a buyer he approves. Of course, Putin has other intentions... This situation in international relations also has a professional name - double bare.
Taken aback, scared and panicking by vocation, Vučić behaves as he did at the beginning of the corona. Then with Dr. Nestorović, he made fun of the pandemic, and now with his brother Orban he is telling the people that everything will be fine with burek and wine. But - will they? It almost certainly won't. In a month or two, will the president of Serbia once again go into a state of panic similar to the famous "there will be a few cemeteries to accommodate all of us" so that the citizens would agree to sacrifices and deprivations just so it doesn't get worse? It is not excluded.
Tears, wreaths and flowers
When Vučić called on the people to listen to the state in 2020, he was thinking of himself. But in 2025, nothing is the same as it was five years ago. Today, few sessions of municipal assemblies can be held without police cordons, more and more prosecutors are raising their heads, employees of the Institute for the Protection of Monuments are showing what civic courage is, students and rebellious society are not giving up...
That's why by declaring Ćaciland the "island of freedom", Vučić spoke a higher truth - the rest of Serbia became ungovernable for him. How much is evidenced by the efforts of the entire regime to destroy even the little remaining legality and constitutionality to the ground.
Stopping this anti-state campaign is a matter of bare survival and elementary patriotism. Otherwise, only tears, wreaths and flowers will remain on the stage of the Republic of Serbia.
