In order to Vucic liked to be Vladimir Putin or some similar dictator, but something is wrong with him!
At last night's press conference, where he announced a 10-0 victory in the local elections with his famous infantile-sadistic smile, he sat alone in the middle of the table, and to his left and right, away from the spotlight, his left and right hands - Ana Brnabic and Miloš Vucevic. If they were closer to him, they would have reduced his size, Vučić thought, as did the scenographer.
But Vučić is not Putin, nor can he be. People are afraid of Putin, and Vučić just makes them go to the toilet. No matter how much cruelty he sends out, and no matter how much he surrounds himself with scumbags, scum and criminals who are at large, and for God's sake, those who have been released from prison to engage in "electoral engineering". To become a serious dictator, one must be talented. And must have a more valid degree than the one obtained from Vojislav Seselj.
A serious dictator would not surround himself with Vučević and Brnabićka, nor would he, for example, appoint a degreed pechenjologist as the director of the largest economic system, EPS. Nor would the head of his secret service be Vulin or Orlić, and the main businessmen Zvonko Veselinović and Milan Radoičić.
Serbia is not Russia.
Neither is Serbia Russia, fortunately. We know how to sometimes be angry with our fellow citizens for their political passivity, to say that every nation deserves the kind of government it has, but what we saw yesterday, and what we are looking at a year or so back - says something completely different. Serbia did not deserve this kind of government, Vučić is not the image and image of its citizens.
Despite all the effort, despite all the force, despite all the money, despite the media darkness and the most primitive propaganda since the beginning of time - the regime failed to subjugate the citizens and intimidate them, failed to kill the society even though it did the state. All that we saw on Sunday, the demonstration of raw power and violence, produces only counter-effects. Citizens know about Jadac.
Every election is a fight for freedom
The "magnificent" victory of 10:0 draws too much attention to the imminent defeat and departure of the progressives from the political scene. And when they're gone, they're gone forever. There is no going back. Because it is not only the long-term unrestrained power of the worst that is a curse for the state, but also for such a regime.
They thought, ignorantly, that they would last forever, so they completely showed off, that is, they expressed all of their inner selves. They felt that they no longer needed to hide criminal activities, and there were no others, so to speak. Court evidence that costs tens of thousands of years of imprisonment is already circulating in the public domain. Vučić knows it, the people around him know it: both for the citizens and for them - every election is a fight for freedom.
Hence the brutal violence of the progressive hordes, the beating of political opponents, the touring of a gang of bikers in election places... But, as someone said, you can wage war with bayonets, but you cannot rule with them, if you are not a fakir. Citizens have freedom at their fingertips, but progressives have it slipping away from them.
The most expensive local elections ever
What does that "magnificent" victory look like in practice?
Here it is: in Kula, the progressives with their partners had more than 30 councilors until these elections, and now they will have 19. In Sevojno, they had 17, now they will have 10 or 11. In Arandjelovac, they had as many as 34, now they will have 21. These are the results of the most expensive local elections in the history of the world's multi-party system.
There is no doubt that the progressives invested tens of millions of euros in them, our money of course. Just how much did the rally in the Belgrade Arena cost, put some things you know on paper. Let's not talk about the fact that it was actually illegal, that it was an illegal official campaign.
If we add to this that the decline in the popularity of progressives is much greater in large cities, as research shows, it is clear why Vučić will be very careful when he calls the extraordinary parliamentary elections that he announced. And what will he do with the presidential elections, in which - unfortunately - he cannot run. That he will not put Vucevic or Ana Brnabić as presidential candidates? In order to be a candidate again, the Constitution must be changed. Is he allowed to do that? Would he be allowed to cancel the elections, which he surely would? Let's see.

Dictator in the making
Everything said is not a matter of consolation but a realistic picture. However, you should not relax - when you corner the beast, it can be irrationally dangerous. It catches the eye. Lazar Dinić found out, unfortunately, not for the first time, who yesterday the hooded men broke his cheekbone and contused his cerebellum. Others who were beaten in Bor, Kula, Knjaževac also found out about it...
We saw that after the police raid on the Belgrade headquarters of the National Movement of Serbia. Vučić leads the party as his former bosses once led paramilitary formations. He hardly knows otherwise. As in other wars, here too the paramilitary put the official military and police forces under control. As in war, they will lose all battles.
By breaking into the NPS, Vučić is trying to imitate dictators from non-democratic countries that seem to have multi-party elections. In the early phase, they raided opposition parties, and in the latter phase, opposition members were arrested, expelled or even killed.
But, as we said, Vučić is not Putin or any other serious dictator, no matter how hard he tries to be.
You should definitely be careful, but you shouldn't be overly afraid of night ghosts, especially if you know that they are just waiting for the moment to kill each other. If he knows that they themselves are scared.
Illegal call centers
Finally, let's comment on the journalistic "intrusion" into the progressive call center in Kladovo. We saw scared "Kolovka", who know very well that they do dishonorable and illegal jobs, who ran away and hid their faces. Vučić talked about all kinds of things at yesterday's KZN. For example, he was babbling that the Tower was full of cars with Zagreb registrations on Sunday, which is a classic radical lie. He also said that call centers are legal and legitimate, and even desirable in developed democratic countries.
He failed to say, however, that in these countries those who work in progressive call centers would be arrested, along with the organizers. Why? Well, because call centers must not be illegal, their costs must be reported to the competent state institutions, citizens must not be intimidated or blackmailed from them by telephone, votes must not be bought and sensitive data obtained from public companies and institutions, as well as from telecommunication operators, must not be misused.
